The fiber optic company directionally bored right through the sewer line. The city will have to take down and move my mailbox and it’s 15 year old Confederate Jasmine that surrounds it. Green writing means sanitary sewer.
Dang, so random holes suddenly appearing really can be a sign of something gone wrong.

Maybe you will get your own dedicated fiber drop out of this?

  • Yeah the locators tell you that they are only good to 3 feet. The thing is the sewer
line wasn’t marked before they bored for the fiber. The same thing happened in 2006.
  • That would be loser. Looser is something entirely different and yes the blooms are white.

I think I'm gonna call it China Jasmine from now on, but I always knew it as star jasmine.  All these other names 🤯

Our neighbors have a trellis of the stuff and it smells great.  Not bad for a “loser”.

What is it about crust that some kids and some adults don’t like?  Never understood it. The typical morning aftermath of my kids who refuse to eat the crust off their cinnamon raisin toast. My wife doesn’t care for it either.  I need to start composting.

I didn’t like it as a kid but while not extremely poor food didn’t go to waste.  I had many a stand-off over peas (still won’t eat them) as a kid.  Let’s just say the plate always left the table empty.

My wife starting cutting the crust off toast and I put my foot down. I said we aren't teaching that in front of other eyes. It's already hard enough to get young kids to eat. You are much more patient than I am  U_tarded

Looks like the locator missed it by a good 18"

The Miss Utilities crews have a legal tolerance of 2 feet. This marker did better than most. :)

I didn’t say the are liable, I used to work around utilities all the time and if it was within so many inches of the mark you had to hand dig. Most the guys I knew would just cut through communication lines without a second thought.  You will feel the tug of a gas line on the trencher and pvc had a glancing blow to it. If I was bouncing on something and there were no trees around it’s best to stop.

  • Irrigation was the worst, shallow and un located. You had to dig 2’ in either direction to splice it.  I carried phone line and coax with the tool to make connections if someone was home and throwing a fit.

  • This was a bore, the bore head doesn’t travel in a perfectly straight line.
  • Anyone noticed a disappearance of prime beef at costco lately?

Yes!!  Thought it was just me.  I looked all over for it.  They had 2 prime briskets everything else was choice, and it looked choice too.

I've noticed it the past 2+ weeks now. Steaks and everything. Weird.

Just to be clear, it’s a rivalry not a derby. In other news, it’s been revealed that Man City might or might not have cooked the books for a few years, to no-one’s surprise. The question is, whenever those at the top are suggested to have been naughty, so what?  Don’t hold your breath as it will be a few years more before a conclusion is drawn. Elsewhere Coach Marsch has been ejected from Leeds.

    Saturday

West Ham v Chelsea, east meets west London and there’s no time for ping pong or panda swapping. The hosts are in a pickle by being a bit rubbish and the visitors wildly under-performing and now burdened with £350m of new talent. 1-1

Arsenal v Brentford, north meets west London. As I confidently but wildly inaccurately predicted, the Gunners lost at crack-pot lunatic Everton last week. They will be wary about their guests this time out but normal service resumes 2-1

Palace v Brighton, Ah - er, oh dear - it’s that time is it? Just to be clear, it’s  rivalry not a derby. El Gatwicko #1 has arrived.  I’d like to say ‘at least we’re at home’ but let’s be honest an undeserved draw is the best I can hope for.  Heart says 0-0, head says ‘is it a long time in the future yet?

Fulham v Forest, before the World Cup this would have been a foregone conclusion with a home win,  but the curious case of the Forest has taken a dark twist: they are undefeated in their last four. Tricky but fun 2-2

Leicester v Spurs, the Foxes pulled off an impressive win last time out but Spurs trumped them by beating  City and despite their flaky habits you gotta go Spurs for this one 1-2

Southampton v Wolves, clock is ticking for recently appointed boss Jones at Saints as they remain resolutely unreliable. Sense of the inevitable 0-2 and bye bye boss man.

Bournemouth v Newcastle, a homecoming for Eddie Howe who will bring his significantly better looking  and wealthier new partner around to see his ex.  Won’t be awks at all then? Emotional but business as usual 0-2

    Sunday

Leeds v Man Utd, a reverse of Wednesday’s fixture which ended 2-2 at Old Trafford. That result feels like a reaction to Coach Marsh’s sacking, don’t see a repeat, so 0-2

Man City v Aston Villa, the hosts draft by Spurs was net zero as Gunners lost too but they are 5 points adrift and a game ahead of The Ars’ so this has to be a no frills 2-0

    Monday

Liverpool v Everton, the Merseyside derby - this is a derby, not  rivalry. Sharing awful season’s but the hosts are not relegation threatened and in financial turmoil.  Last week’s all-emotion win for the Toffees was quite the spectacle, but this time they’ll park the bus and aim to avoid defeat. Sketchy home win 1-0.

Just to be clear, it’s  rivalry not a derby.

Thanks.  This was a pandemic purchase.  It doesn’t throw off a lot of heat with the guard up but it’s nice to look at.

Since we are C'ing it, 2*C here and hoping to hit 6*C Saturday.  Then the warm up begins for a few days.
Life in the winter here that generally hovers around the 0* C +/-2* area with the precipitation makes for the full assortment.
However, on Dec 23rd we hit -22*C ( the coldest in 30+ years).
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.
