My guess is that Elmo will step away and appoint a CEO other than himself. He didn't really want this thing to begin with. While he might have been having some measure of fun these past few weeks he has more important things to do and I suspect there is a lot of external pressure from a slew of outside parties (namely his financial partners who would prefer to not just have to write off their multi-billion dollar investment) urging him to let someone else take the day-to-day operations and try to solve some of the problems that need solving and to stop making new problems.
