Just bought a bourbon smoking kit for son's B'day in July.
Who knows...
The smoked bourbon drinks scroll across the drinking thread fairly routinely.
Different for sure-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
I have a smoking kit too.. they work surprisingly well and add a cool dimension. Only advice, a little goes a long way. First time I smoked it like a pork shoulder. Way too much smoke.lousubcap said:Just bought a bourbon smoking kit for son's B'day in July.

Many of the young families around here bought up 100% of the 5th wheel campers, and all RV’s. They also booked 100% of the camping spaces (w/electricity) at all Kansas lakes thru the summer. That was before gas & groceries went thru the roof!shtgunal3 said:I’m pretty sure I just got the wife’s approval to buy a new 5th wheel. We bought a travel trailer new in 2020. I’ve been telling her that it is time to upgrade. In my mind after 2-3 years they will start to lose value fairly quickly. We are at an RV park for the weekend. This morning we were sitting outside and I mentioned it again. She said, “If you are going to upgrade all I ask is that you buy a new one”. Sounds like she’s on board. Right???Seeing a lot of boats and RV’s for sale this week in the classifieds!

Bought a HF 3-ton Daytona floor jack to go with my Jack Stands from last weekend's coupon sale. I have a bunch of projects lined up for the next few weekends that require these.

Yeah, I too seemed to remember the Keynote addresses as being on Tuesdays but I caught something on my Twitter feed yesterday that said it was today at 10am PDT.

Milwaukee string trimmer and blower. Tired of mixing gas and dealing with small engines.

Electric is the way to go______________________________________________I love lamp..

I have the dewalt trimmer and blower. Will never go back to gas powered. Now if only someone could make an electric reel mower that's worth a dang. Swardman makes one that costs about $2k more than it's worth.FrostyEgg said:Milwaukee string trimmer and blower. A personal caveat to @nolaegghead 's comment "electric is the only way to go".

Battery is good for sprints. My stihl saw awesome for smaller jobs and the trimmer will run 28 minutes on a battery.South of Columbus, Ohio.

Went to a major furniture warehouse/showroom this morning with the wife to do some shopping (I was there under protest, trust me). The main goal of this place seems to be to set hard-earned money on fire.
We were there with a designer who is helping us with the home and one of the sales associates, looking at various things. One of the things we were looking at was a chandelier for our foyer that costs every penny of $3k plus. I was like, really? This is a thing made mostly from metal that hangs above most people's heads that largely just serves as a extra large, decorative light, and you want... three thousand dollars for it? Who do I look like, Daddy Warbucks?
Well we're looking around and I spot one that I like better, so I point it out to the wife. She also likes it better! And so I walk over to it fully expecting it to cost the price of a large Hyundai and low and behold it is on clearance for... $300! Sold! Still about $250 more than I want to pay for a friggin light but it's a bargain compared to what we were being sold.
But I swear the whole experience was worth it just to see the sales associate's face melt like that guy's at the end of Raiders when he realized we went from seriously discussing a $3k purchase to one that was a fraction of that. This year, I ditched my corded electric lawn mower and went with an Ego battery powered mower. When operating corded, I used to need to cut the grass with an extra long, heavy gauge extension cord. Spent a lot of time screwing around with cord management. Now, I spend zero time playing with a cord and can probably do it in half the time I used to. Been great so far. Went cordless with the weed whacker and leaf blower too. The only machine that I’d be hesitant to go electric on might be my snowblower, but maybe I just haven’t seen the right model yet.lousubcap said:A personal caveat to @nolaegghead 's comment "electric is the only way to go".

ah ok. I didn't catch her name because I didn't click on the link. All this talk of citations and papers brings back bad memories of college.JohnInCarolina said:Hahaha you are the second person to ask my about my "girlfriend".

Used a corded mower eons ago, then switched to gas. Went back to corded this year and couldn't be happier. I'm sure cordless would be nicer but at this stage roi doesn't make sense since we've no idea where we'll be living few years down the road. Our yards are also very small. The trick to cord management is piling the cord at one end, then mow away from the pile in zig-zag pattern. Our son bought a cordless snowblower and mower with interchangeable 80V batteries for their new house, would be interesting to see how they pan out.canuckland

My buddy has a sun joe one. His yard always looks good and it’s surprisingly inexpensive. Seems like a great bang for the buckTEXASBGE2018 said:
