if you are near a major city with a chinese restaurant supply...... i triple parked in bostons china town, ran in to the store, picked up the 14 inch metal single handled wok and a 16 inch hand hammered double handle for 22 bucks total. maybe 2- 3 minutes in the store. if i wasnt triple parked i would have bought an aluminum dome for the smaller one, comes in handy for setting up eggs, cheese melts in a cast iron or griddle etc. probably 5 bucks more. these chinese supply houses are so cheap one can only assume its a front for something else, boston realestate is pretty pricey

IIRC he clarified it was $100 off each, not for each. Mind you it could be my senior moment kicking inEggdicted_Dawgfan said:@nolaegghead did you find the grabo pros for $100? I just paid $310 each for 4 of them. But I’ll take 4-6 more if they are available for a hundo each. That’s a steal even for the regular grabo.

Agree. This is the best place around here IMO.fishlessman said:paqman said:This is the one that I am thinking of ordering: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/aw/d/B08HMWZLZY/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?smid=A1JFJ2G34GBX2C&psc=1

I think you are right. I misinterpreted his response I believe. Curious if it was 100 off the pro model. If so, where?Canugghead said:

Just had a great experience with my order from SmokeWare. Good guys over there. 👍🏻

No, I wish. $100 off. I found them on woot! for $209. As far as I know, they are still there, you have to dig for them. There's a site that has a search engine for woot, google it.Eggdicted_Dawgfan said:@nolaegghead did you find the grabo pros for $100? I just paid $310 each for 4 of them. I just thought of a good idea - make a rig with a wheel that bolts on to the Grabo metal tabs where I can stick it to the side of something and presto, have a wheel on it.______________________________________________I love lamp.. -
Like, this, but only need one wheel to hold one side of a sheet of plywood, stick the handle on the other. Move multiple sheets with a couple clamps.

Yep, it was the pro model. Sorry, I'm responding before I read everything.Eggdicted_Dawgfan said:

Thank you. I was able to find them on woot. Can’t pass them up for 200 a pop. Just wish this sale was 2 months ago. Makes me wonder if a new model is coming out. I like the idea of the wheel. So many uses for these things and the suction/holding power is unreal.nolaegghead said:

Yeah, for whatever reason, I love these things. Hell, I might just get a super hero cape and mask and scale one of the glass skyscrapers down town with them. (although they warn of bodily injury or death if used as personal climbing devices...)Eggdicted_Dawgfan said:

Haha yeah they are handy for sure. I’m always thinking of different ways to use them other than work. The battery life is amazing. And you could definitely scale a building with them. We tested them with 408lbs and they held. That is a lot of weight on a foam gasket with plastic handles.Snellville, GA

@GrateEggspectations I don’t think that I will be using the wok on the egg.

Picked up this 20 inch diameter American Metalcraft stainless steel pan to use as a drip pan for indirect cooking in the xl.
$21.79 at Amazon. For some reason I got a courtesy credit and they only charged $2.09 out the door delivery and tax included.
Cheaper than a pack of disposables

I already have one with the two D shaped handles (hand burners) but I am looking for one with a long wooden handle and maybe a D handle too. I am debating between a round and a flat bottom.fishlessman said:GrateEggspectations said:
Got mine at a little shop in Chinatown a few years back. Carbon steel with a single handle. Has been great. While this is an unpopular view, for my purposes on the Egg, I far prefer a single handle over the double Ds.paqman said:
@Ozzie_Isaac I just received an email from the owner, I should receive mine in about a week. It was a nice surprise, I did not expect it to ship until a couple of months! Now I need to find a decent wok…Ozzie_Isaac said:

Here is it in front of my Medium Egg. Ignore the dust an mess. Having a pool put in, and I am currently living in a Grapes of Wrath level dust bowl.
definitely the single handle, way more easy to use. i think some think they are going to use it with the dome closed on their wok cooks when they first purchaseI was worried about stability on the Egg, but between the grate spacing and the resting of the handle on the lip of the base, it’s a total non issue.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

Rocks. Bought 40 tons of rock.. Rocks have gone up 50% in less than 3 months. Wish I had invested in rock futures.

I was read about a process to clean the exhaust from power plants. It created rocks useful for making concrete as a byproduct. To late at night to chase a link.Ozzie_Isaac said:

Fly ash is a coal byproduct and is used to make lightweight concrete.______________________________________________I love lamp..

I know that , I was certified in concrete testing and design. Fly ash is also used to make non lightweight concrete. It , among other properties, is used to reduce the amount of cement powder used to make concrete, typically 20% though that varies.nolaegghead said:Fly ash is a coal byproduct and is used to make lightweight concrete. The product that I mentioned is different and is similar to limestone rocks.
