I could have done without this one. Close to a "DISLIKE". No offense if this was a selfie.
LOL definitely not a selfie.  Let’s try this one:

We thought the way things are trending it may be time to open the food pantry and gauge interest.  So off to Ol Walmart.

    This is the first trip.
Do you run a food pantry?  What is in all the bags?

  • Finally got my little buddy. Multipurpose tool.

It slices, it dices, it slashes.... The Ultimate Q Tool - even Mick Dundee may be a bit impressed.
Looks fine and all, but where is the bottle opener? The “hook” section?

No pics, but I happened to walk into a liquor store today, only to find that all kinds of brown water were on sale. $10-$30 markdowns. Stocked up. The dude was excited about the $1500 tab.

This is a cane knife (Version 2.0). Multi-purpose tool extraordinaire. Type 316 SS blade. Traditional bottle opener is the hole (kudos to Canugghead). The hasp (hook) is also doable - I can gig pretty near anything with it along with a prayer and send off.  The sharp side is truly razor edged. For those inclined and trained, the reverse edge (blunt) doubles/triples/etc. as a sabre à champagne. Sabrage is a bit of a different bottle opening technique with roots back to Napoleon, Mme Clicquot and the French Revolution (circa. 1800).  The first visit to my (now) wife's family home in Normandy was on a New Years Eve - her brothers trained me in the art while we consumed a case and half of Champagne along with copious amounts of the family Calvados. Viva la France!

@MediumRarely - just reading the above post suggests an evening of unparalleled celebration.  I don't know how many brothers were engaged but a case and a half of high-end champagne is quite the introduction to the technique.  I did witness a true sabre a champagne delivered by an Aussie gentleman but I never perfected it with the sword.  Living well for sure.
Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

That sounds like an amazing time, and the beginning to a fabulous story or two.  That cane knife is super cool.  I find beauty in functionality, and that looks to have it in spades.

    Bingo!

One opened up nearby, and this was the second time I went in. Their prices are slightly higher than Total Wine, but selection is at par, if not better than Total Wine. The deep discounts were mainly on the brown water, so I stocked up on scotch, bourbon, whiskey, cognac.

Back in the olden days I worked with a engineer that disliked digital electronics.  He referred to his projector as Analog PowerPoint.

My US history teacher in high school had one of those. All of his lectures were on the plastic sheets and hadn’t been updated in 30 years or more. I guess that he hated black boards and chalk.
