Any tips on how to get smokeware cap off?

I bought a new one that’s all nice & shiny but my ole gunked one is stuck like chuck on the egg. Any tips on how to remove ?

@Hook_emHornsfan_74 process is how I get mine off when it is tight. Mine gets loose after 1hr or so at 350.
I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

Heat the outside with a torch? Hopefully it'll soften the greasy gunk and expand the metal.canuckland

thanks. For Clarification, it’s the bottom portion of the cap. Top part comes off easily.
