I travel a lot for work, so I keep tabs on this stuff. Current valuation of United miles = 1.3 cents per milesumoconnell said:New United airlines points magazine - about 5 years ago, the conversion rate was about 100/1 if you got a good deal on travel. The merchandise usually goes for 2x retail, but varies a lot. There is a vitamix a2500 ascent blender for 70,100 miles.Just thought it was interesting

So doing that math would put value of the egg package of about $3100. That's one expensive egg. -
Flu and first Shingles vaccinations. Ouch! Both arms ache from shoulder to wrist. This might have been a bad idea.

@Kayak - Arm soreness is pretty much the norm for me, shot independent.
BTW- never met a shot I didn't like.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
Good to hear we can get both simultaneously; thanks.Kayak said:Flu and first Shingles vaccinations. Ouch! Both arms ache from shoulder to wrist. This might have been a bad idea.“I'll have what she's having."

Yes, we got the flu and shingles shot at the same time last year (shingles 1/2), it's ok, but it's not recommended.

Thanks guys, it’s a 20’ + 4’ dove tail, 8,000 lb axles. I have been shopping equipment trailers for a while, I kinda settled on a aluminum but decided it would be a shame to drag it through fields and abuse it like I plan too. This steel trailer is made in Ohio and seems stout, it should last me 20 years.South of Columbus, Ohio.

@SGH do you have a couple hundred sticks of drill steel lying around? I am putting in a new 4 rail fence and the going rate in AZ is $68/stick and you have to pick it up! Pre-Covid it was $27/stick delivered.

Sweet deal on a weather proof flashlight, I think it’s a blem cause of the spelling. -
No sir I do not. If I did you would certainly be welcome to it.Ozzie_Isaac said:@SGH do you have a couple hundred sticks of drill steel lying around?Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

If you buy a Tesla with you failed to pay your payment Tesla could just drive it back to their factory. Even without Full Self Driving software purchased, they could make the update OTA and drive it away. 🤔

In the US it would be the lienholder's car.

I would check thoroughly for any signs of battery leakage inside the housing before buying.PeteSliver said:

@Bellavista52 stated, the lein holder owns it, but I think Tesla has financing. Most big automakers in the US are mostly banks who happen to make cars.Eoin said:

I am not complaining, just a funny thought (my son actually asked me about it). This could upend the repo business.I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

100 hour service on the boat.

Nice. Seems like a lot on a several short interval, but I know nothing about boats.Lit said:100 hour service on the boat.
I’m due to change oil and swap for winter tires on both cars this weekend. At least that’s the current plan. -

get 5 months a year of lake weather. Only
takes about 2 hours. Anywhere between $400-900 to pay someone to do it and the kit is $160 shipped. -
Now double it for twin 300’s yammies on our offshore boat….
-
The 100 hour is really easy to do. What do you pay for both 300s like $1,500 range?ColbyLang said:Now double it for twin 300’s yammies on our offshore boat…. -
I had a wheeler-dealer friend. He would buy a boat during off-season, use it all summer, sell at tail end of lake season for a profit, then repeat. That was his preventative maintenance plan. Buy and sell every year. Usually make about $2k too on small 25' Bayliner type boats.Lit said:

I like his style. When I think about buying products, I always first consider any benefits of buying second hand. The only exception might be used flashlights in goodwill stores. 🙃Ozzie_Isaac said:

A guy I work with does the same thing with older master crafts. Too much work for me I really hated the search for my current boat since things are selling so fast and above value.Ozzie_Isaac said:

That is a valid point. Not sure this is the year to he buying anything used. I sold a 4Runner with 50k miles for near what I bought it new for.Lit said:

We do all fluids and filters, lower units including impellers for right at $1400 on the water. Mechanic comes to us because the boat sits in a lift. Also checks trim motors and seals. All other moving parts that tend to go out. Warranty for another 3 yearsLit said:

crazy, i change the fluids on the boat in the fall regardless if i put 400 or a thousand hours on it, been doing that for 30 years on my merc. gas and water filter when they start to clog, sometimes i just clean them. dont even remember when i did plugs last
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
I am only gonna do my impeller every 3 years and ive read plugs you can go 500 hours on with no issues but its pretty cheap maintenance and when this dies Im gonna put a 200 on it and thats not cheap so trying to avoid that as long as possible. Motor just hit 300 hours so ive got awhile on a 4 stroke.fishlessman said:crazy, i change the fluids on the boat in the fall regardless if i put 400 or a thousand hours on it, been doing that for 30 years on my merc. gas and water filter when they start to clog, sometimes i just clean them. dont even remember when i did plugs last -

the pump impeller lasts along time if you clean the hose out fairly regularly to remove sand/sediment building up. keep about a 3 foot piece of weedwacker chord on the boat, it takes a minute to keep that clear.ive only changed it twice since getting this motor and only when replacing seals
