Put a 5 pound standing rib roast sans actual ribs in the oven. I started a little late (so cooking at 250 vs 200), was planning on doing this tomorrow but it's just the two of us, so we can milk the leftovers longer before heading back to the salt mines on Monday.

Stumbled upon this a week ago, but haven't been able to get them out of my head. Still in development (2 tries this week), so I don't have a go-to recipe yet, but these are the sources I recall:GrateEggspectations said:@caliking: Great looking plate. I take all the garlic I can get, so will have to look up those noodles. Please do share if you have a solid recipe on hand.

The Kenji video was hard to watch... the camera work, the name dropping, etc. Chef John's version didn't include brown sugar (better with brown sugar IMO), but his videos are fun. Recipe-wise, I probably stuck closer to Flo Lum's.
Moar garlic. And bucatini, because I like how sauce gets all up in it. Haven't had Maggi sauce in the pantry for years, but will probably get some soon.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX -

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
This is a really old and out of focus picture of some wings. Looks like 2014.

Used my new "Grills by Dement" handgrill the other night set on one side of my gas grill as a sort of hybrid charcoal/gas setup. Top pic is sirloin cap with potatoes fondant, second is lamb chops with orecchiette and broccoli rape.

It's nice having a blazing hot charcoal sear zone one one side and a more controlled gas heat source on the other. It's made me rethink the possibilities of my often ignored gasser.South of Nashville - BGE XL - Alfresco 42" ALXE - Alfresco Versa Burner - Sunbeam Microwave
