  I have the bourbon, but I’ve only had a couple sips. I wasn’t blown away like I was hoping. Sometimes, they get better once a little is poured out of the bottle. Not bad by any means. Let us know how you like them. I’ve never tried the rye. Enjoy!

  My wife and I spent a few weeks in Europe back in 2009 visiting many of the WWII battle sites, monuments, American Cemeteries, etc.
  
  It was very sobering walking in the woods outside of Foy where Easy Co spent the Battle of the Bulge, thinking about what those incredibly brave young men went through. Many of the foxholes are still there, just not as deep due to leaves and other detritus over the years. Highly recommend if you have the chance.

  My wife was with her family for four years while her dad was stationed in Germany. They did a lot of touring during that time but near visited any of the major battle sites (even though you can't drive anywhere on the main land without crossing a battle site). However, they did visit two of the concentration camps and she has mentioned more than once that knowing what occurred there will always be etched in her mind.
  
  I visited the Cambridge American Cemetery some years ago. And to quote ThrasherII "Yes it is very sobering to see that many crosses ." Most of these lads were killed in the battle for the North Atlantic and/or the air campaign over Europe. A generation like no other and one that cannot be repaid.

  The barrel notes are there but not overpowering. The abv is a little higher but not as bold as Founders Backwoods Bastard. If you like the original offering then you should like this one IMHO. The Founders Backwoods Bastard is not bad either.
