    Trying on new boots
  • Just had a 45 minute car ride with the wife where she had to call into a meeting. I now known more about NIH and NSF grants and cost share than I care to know

Fun!  I'm having to deal with a lot of that kind of stuff these days in my new position here.  NIH has a new policy on data that they just announced that is going to be an interesting challenge to come into compliance with for a lot of our PIs.

Seems like AOC is highly qualified to talk about having a huge telescope fall into a cavernous hole.

Of all the sources of information on this topic and you choose AOC. Quite the not so subtle way of inserting politics in a non political thread.

Did you order her "Tax the Rich" sweat shirt yet?  It is $60, so not 100% sure who her target audience is.

  • I am reading up on AOCs tax policy.  Her compelling story about hiking with her mother, made me curious.  70% tax for the sake of equality is interesting.

Sounds like another wormhole.  Please stop the political posts in this thread, thanks.

This thread is a reincarnation of another now sequestered thread, in honor of the honorable @Ozzie_Isaac, who is sadly on hiatus.  Ozzie always insisted the thread be a politics-free zone because he loved his thread and knew politics would kill it, even though Ozzie himself liked to talk politics especially all things glibertarian.  So please, in honor of my dear friend, please leave that kind of cr@p for elsewhere.

My apologies, I sometimes get excited and a head of myself.  I will respect this thread 👍

Now, I guess I am looking for a safe thread to continue the discussion in.
