Bob Dylan with The Band. That’s 1974 when he had range to his voice. What an assembly of talent that was.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

Radney Foster “Del Rio TX 1959”

Had a Southern Rock morning. CBS got a tour of the just-renovated Capricorn Records from Chuck Leavell (Allman Bros), they've built a museum attached to it. They had a few artists (Allmans, Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, Skynyrd, Stephen Bishop, etc) over the years, and CBS closed the show out with the Allman Betts Band (includes 3 sons from the ABB) doing Midnight Rider.

Growing up in the south listening and seeing the southern rock scene was fantastic. My introduction to concerts were in Savannah Georgia Civic Center. The floor back then was general admission...no seating. Seeing The Allman Brother, Marshall Tucker and a band called Wet Willie (with frequency) was like utopia back then. We would drive form my home town thru back roads of South Carolina and cross the Savannah’s River. The Civic Center was close and easy to navigate to. At the time, we were not 18 (legal drinking age back then for beer and wine), so we would go in early to get a great spot front and center. At the time, we had no idea that we were seeing some of the best entertainment we would witness in our lifetime. Dave Mason and a group called Hydra were a couple outside of the southern rock genre we saw. The southern rock roots started right there in my life. Appreciate the opportunity to reflect on those times. Great memories. Great bands and great tunes.Botch said:Had a Southern Rock morning. And now, for a complete 180, (and I'm not even sure if Peter Green was in the band at this time, which prompted my search), Fleetwood Mac's best recording, ever:

Pat Metheny's debut album. I didn't realize until recently that this also included Jaco Pastorius!

I bought this awhile ago and finally got around to playing it this morning, didn't realize it was a 5.1 SACD (Surround Sound)! Morricone added cello solos to many of his movie themes (The Good, The Bad, The Ugly; The Mission; Moses; The Untouchables, etc) and it sounds glorious.

I was listening to JJ Cale’s “Grasshopper” album earlier this evening. Start to finish, both sides.....just killer tunes. If you have never found the joy of listening to it........Invest in the time.
