Basic, but Snapped a quick pic of my liquor shelf & curious to see yours.  Quarantine we got into the Italian before/after drinks.

  • We have gotten deeper into the Italian happy hour drinks as well. And just about anything else that is not nailed down.

I am for sure but these we are gracious gift from some friends. I believe it was a drunk purchase at a Christmas gift bazar. We got them in March (they forgot they bought them).

LOL - your post reminded me from 40 or so years ago. At that time we belonged to a private golf club which had high membership fees. Their trade off was a Christmas party (drunk affair) with all the shrimp you could eat besides the delicious hor’de ores
that were supplied as mandatory from members to even attend.

There was always a drawing for 3 baskets of unsealed liquor bottles. We only attended two of these parties. As newbies we had to be “hosts” for the party and wait on these drunks who frequently were real **** and trust me many times the women were the absolute worst!

At the second - and our final year there - we had to leave before the midnight drawing. As it turned out our ticket won the top ($750) basket! Though we were gone one of Pat’s honest golfing buds brought that basket to us the next day! BTW to this very day we still have some unopened bottles of this or that in spite of already having given away several bottles of this and that and other!

I buy with intent, I don't have any half empty bottles around unless it's a mixer.

    My bourbon collection.

@NDG I have got a bit of a taste for amaro as well. Black Manhattens are tasty.
Serious bourbon !!  I bought that Amaro for black manhattans but makes a great spritz (nice for early day Quarantine drink) with soda water, fresh lemon juice and Olive.  It just works.

Like like @sumoconnell some of us "buy with intent". We do not collect, we drink. If it's on my shelf, it is getting replenished on the regular :). There are times when the shelf is bare for weeks or even more at a time, but when the bar is open, it's open for business.

And we had to stop bringing in the brown stuff for the most part. We like that a little too much. The Velvet Hammer at night turns into the Blacksmith Shop in my head the next morning when I get into the brown stuff too hard.

None of them get lonely, I just visit some more often than others.  There’s a bullpen as well for specialists and all purpose relievers, but you’ve all seen a box in a closet before.

Since I am generally a beer kinda guy- I can monitor 12 oz at a time easier than free pour. ;)   Anyway my "Liqour cabinet" is generally when in the mood I buy a bottle of something.

Anyway went to a local distillery signed up for a "tasting"

Came home made this- Horseradish Vodka

So then last night I mixed this up

We've got a place near us that distills horseradish vodka and it is a game-changer for bloodies.

Before that vodka I was adding Habenero tabasco but since I am going with just those two.

Some of you have some major-league bourbon collections.  I’m impressed/jealous.

I don't have a liquor cabinet per se, but @fishlessman's post gave me this idea:

What's-her-name and I broke up about 12 years ago, and I gave up dating altogether 2 years later.  Haven't purchased a bottle of wine since.

I'll make a trivet, or something, someday...

Placed an order for pickup tomorrow to restock the wine.  Top is mostly whiskey, with some brandy for my FIL, some gin and tequila, and 2 vodkas, one for mixing and one for sipping.
