Congratulations to your wife and family! My mom went through this in the late ‘90’s, I was roughly in middle school and never fully understood how much this impacted my dad until 20 years later when he got to talking about it. Awesome cook and appreciate the gesture to those who supported you.  This brings back a flood of memories from the late 90’s and it’s about all the people.  Thanks for sharing this.

Amazing post and the food looks great too. So happy for your family and what a wonderful
group of friends you have as well. After a day of watching the world burn this post is just what I needed. Can’t wait to see that kitchen in person.

What a great story.  Thanks for posting that!  Congrats to you and your lovely wife!  My wife too is a breast cancer survivor.  Double Mastectomy and 13 mos of chemo, which was a big slice of physical and emotional hell.  We too had a ton of support from friends and neighbors and had a cul-de-sac party for all of them when she completed chemo, so it was nice to hear your story and know that other people have great friends and neighbors to celebrate.  Blessings to you both...

Great story!  Thanks for sharing as cancer touches everyone's life whether directly or indirectly.  My mother-in-law has surgery and begins her treatment Friday.

Your cooks are what I strive to put out......but have a long way to go!!

Hell yeah, the celebration looks worthy of such a great accomplishment! My father went through those treatments and every moment was and should be celebrated with a party like that. Congrats to your family.

This is easily the best thing I've read in a while.  What a great story and meal.  Here's hoping your wife continues to recover and everyone has a long and happy life.
I agree with JIC 100%. My wife also had a run-in with the same crap and the friends here were a TON of help! We are very fortunate to have this tight knit community in times like this. We received daily calls from @bgebrent, personal calls from others, flowers from @YukonRon, encouragement from every Butt Blaster and their spouses, I can go on and on. It makes you feel good to know what good friends these misfits can be. As JIC stated great post and I hope everything is great from here on.
