BBQ Apron suggestions anyone

does anyone use any particular type of apron when they grill. Leather, canvas, etc? Been looking for a good apron. Any suggestions or photos of the one you may use and what you like about it. Towel holder, etc..

I have souvenir aprons from the Carnivore restaurants in Kenya and South Africa that I occasionally use, but I can't speak to their functionality compared to other aprons.
This post reminded me to break mine out for a little gig I've got this weekend. Hopefully, a good thread will appear about it. I think I have that first one above. Bought it because of the cross straps, vs. the more common loop around the neck design, which I find uncomfortable.

I use one very similar to the one on top. Especially when starting the egg, to many times getting charcoal smudges on my pants. Also, I start the egg with bacon greased paper towels and it is nice to have somewhere to wipe hands.

I have a denim Hudson apron that I use more when working on my bikes than cooking. I’ve ruined some clothes with tire sealant and the pockets are handy to keep tools in. When we are hosting at our house I’ll throw the apron on if I change into nicer clothes and still need to handle food off the egg.

I wear an apron all the time when I cook. My only suggestions would be be make sure it has big enough to pockets hold a beer. When I worked in a restaurant many, many moons ago, we had aprons where the string was long enough to wrap back to the front to be tied there. That was nice.Do not see many of those now, or maybe now the distance back to the front is too far after all these years

Timely thread. While lighting my egg the other day, a hot spark burned a hole in my shirt. I have a couple of aprons that hang around the neck, but I don’t like them. So I ordered a canvas apron from Duluth Trading that crosses the back. I hope it’s comfortable so that it gets used instead of ignored.Flint, Michigan
