Started the day around 8 am at Punta Rassa between Ft Meyers and Sanibel.
Maxed out the Mangrove Snapper in a couple of hrs. Missed several. Learning to fish a little different style.
Moved to a second spot to target a bigger fish. Saw this guy enjoying a snack. Then the rain came and ran us further up the river…
Right into a school of hungry snook. Out of season, but a lot of fun to catch.
All the snook were 28-30”. Good times.
The table part will come tomorrow as we’re off to the crab races tonight.

You weren't only fishing, you were catching. That's a bonus good day.

What a great day - I’m an insomniac, so I’m more envious of the sleep than the fish though.Memphis, TN

Nice. Looks like a great time, even before anything was cooked.
And I’m ever so grateful to not have to see your nipples. Again.#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -

Ok. Cooked the fish.
Lightly breaded. Served with sautéed mushrooms and a coconut, pineapple and lime rice. Rice cooked in chicken broth.
