Here's my PSA for the week... always use a ground man to hold your ladder. I was six feet up on an 8 ft step ladder using a long pole saw on an unruly hedge. Everything was great leaning forward. Got hot and tired and frustrated and forgot high school physics for a moment... Swung that long pole saw to my right and... you guessed it, ladder started to fall to the right. My brain immediately counter balanced by leaning in the opposition direction, causing ladder to kick out from underneath. I fell flat on my back with left arm and right leg landing on the ladder itself and my head and back hitting the ground. I could have died. Laid there a couple mins dazed, assessing damage. Couldn't get up. Started yelling for help but no one heard. Realized phone was still in left pocket and was able to call for help. Nothing broken but so sore all over.

Glad you are alright, that will hurt for a while.

Scary situation you had there @JethroVA funny how we all think “I will not fall” or “that will not happen to me” or “I am smarter than that do to something stupid.”

I live on a very wooded lot and have a 2 story house in the front, but due to slope, is 3 stories in the back. The weekend of every thanksgiving, I blow leaves off the roof. One year, I was done blowing the leaves and was headed back to the ladder from the back, and just before the peak I rolled/twisted my ankle just like everyone has done at so point in their life. Stumbling, I tried to catch myself, but with the pitch of the roof, I went down and started rolling. The same damn gravity that got you yesterday a hold of me. I spread out and stopped about 4-5 feet from the edge. I watched the blower go over the edge and I remember the fading sound of the motor until it met the ground. Then it stopped. It was a serious reality check.

Ego bruised as bad as your arm, and a little scraped skin, but we should consider ourselves lucky compared to what could have happened.

Trying to decide if my wife is messing with me or serious. Recently saw that the guy I used to work for in Memphis was selling his trailer. He won 1st place in shoulder a couple of times and grand champion once at Memphis in May. She said if I can get it for under $20k to buy it. 🤔

Another food item I missed. I have to say, my BM making at BB IV, had me wrapped up corrupting attendees......In hindsight, i should have made some food rounds. Having said that, I don’t recall going hungry.
