    Feel like Alfred Hicthcock and The Birds-have at least three sparrows who have been persistently attacking various windows around the house for the past 4-5 days. Now have one who is admiring him/herself in the front door kick-plate. If (when?) the rain stops, I will take care of the kickplate reflection issue. Pet cats have not provided any long-term fixes so far. First world issue but annoying just the same. Happy Friday!

    Frank.....and to think, I just filled my bird feeder. Anyway, I found my dog apparently didn’t care for my wife’s plant placement. Damn critters.

    An apology to @Eoin for not including Stoke last week.  I blame the football press for brainwashing me that only a handful of teams in the PL matter.    So to remedy that;

    -      last week they drew nil all (standard)

    -      Sunday they play a meaningless last match of the season against the promoted Sheffield Utd. Nil all draw, then.

    The PL starts tonight with Burnley heading not far to Everton.  It’s really hard to get excited about this (I could copy paste that for a few matches, to be fair).   Everton could make 7thand could make it in to Europe.  But they have been hit and miss.  Burnley don’t give a monkeys because they are safe.  Meh 1-0 the Toffees.

    Saturday ravaged and ‘schooled’ Spurs head to Bournemouth.  They have to field a handful of school-boys and the coach driver. While Son is fixed and Kane a possible for the return Ajax match – they won’t be risked.   They could lose tomorrow, lose to Ajax and lose their last match and end up out of Europe and out of Europe (next season), having been third best all season.  That’s what happens when you don’t have enough players. 2-1 Bournemouth.

    West Ham and Southampton. Snooze-fest. Meh, 2-2.   Scratch that 0-0.

    Wolves Fulham is more sparkly as the home team will want to finish strong in case the extra European spot is activated.  Fulham, though – have learnt how to score and win.  It’s way too late, but happy days.  3-2 Wolves.

    It might have been a moral quandary for Palace at Cardiff.  But the home team lost to Fulham and look on the very edge of relegation. Otherwise, Palace might have gifted them the points to nudge Brighton down.  Never mind.  Cardiff will attack – which will suit Palace.  I have gone all woozy and saying 3-1 Palace.

    Big Game #1 : Liverpool (spanked by Barcelona at walking pace mid-week) go to Newcastle.  You know what, it all unravels here.  They will lose and Man City effectively take the title. 2-1 Newcastle.  Cue many Scouse tears and football press convulsing in agony.  Everyone else giggles a bit and moves on.  1-0 the Toon.

    Sunday lunchtime double header;

    Chelsea and Watford, tricky to call – but Hazard rested mid-week means they have a clear advantage. 2-1 the Blues and CL next season looks nailed on for me.

    Huddersfield, still manfully turning up each week and welcome clueless hapless Man Utd – they don’t know if they are Arthur or Martha.   Can’t finish lower than sixth, could finish third (they wont).  I think they will get a couple of goals and win – as they will next week against Cardiff.   But is that a fair reflection of Ole and the odd-bods, no – not really.  Seismic Summer for the Red, Ole sacked in mid-November next season.   2-0  Utd tomorrow.

    Boring boring Brighton go to Arsenal.  They wont win, but don’t need to as one more point does it for them.  I hope they get tonked 18 – 0.   But it will be a tedious 1-0 Gunners’ win instead.

    Bank holiday Monday evening and Man City host the tricky Foxes.  This match really matters to City as it will put one hand on the title if they win, plus they have not played mid-week so the squad is fresh and feisty. 3-1 Man City.

    Stay with it chaps, only one more round to go this season.    But then its the cricket World Cup and The Ashes.   Toying with running ball-by-ball commentary on this thread,  what do you reckon??

    A little late to the discussion(s):

    Fish sauce smells like certain French Quarter residents.

    @NCSmoky good to see you branch out from baked goods.

    @lousubcap I always knew you were a crazy cat lady locked in a bubbleheads body...

    @lousubcap and @CTMike I'm licking my wounds after getting beat down 4 and 3 by some 70+ y/o Navy golfers at the Annual Tampa Bay Area Army Navy Golf Scramble yesterday. Navy got the cup for the first time in 6+ years. Luckily, my friend, alcohol is helping ease my pain.

    Happy Friday Mother fuc$er$$$.

    @thetrim -thanks for manning up and planning ahead for the Sat AM pain and suffering. I should offer something about pussies but decorum will preclude such writing.

    And since I'm here-I am now (when not pounding out this post) making my last attempt to handicap the KY Derby. Not a fan of the favorite although the favorite has won for 6 years straight. So, it just becomes a "You've gotta have skin in the game" exercise this year.

    BTW- I totally lost on the recently concluded KY Oaks. Friggin girls-fickle to the wire 😎

    Alfred Hitchcock update (see above about birds): best hunter killer cat nailed one of the attack birds this AM. Hopefully that sends a message to the rest of 'em.

    Nothing like bringing them in. Cooking them tonight?
