He's the very definition of douche canoe. I lost a lot of respect for the guy just reading his own book, Restaurant Man. I like his mom a lot though... *badum shhhhh* As a partnership it was a perfect match tho - Mario was the personality and Joe (and family) had the decades long experience running kitchens in NYC.
It's the end of an era, at least for me. I was just starting to learn to cook when Mario showed up on Food TV in the late '90s. He practically taught me how to cook.

Places like that may use heat detectors in lieu of smoke detectors in certain areas to activate the fire alarm panel and notification system. Sprinkler heads are heat activated. In electrical areas or other places required by Code, heat detectors are installed within two feet of sprinkler heads to activate a shunt trip breaker to cut off the electrical supply to the room before the application of water. The heat detectors have a lower activation temp than the sprinkler heads.Botch said:
