A couple for ethe kids dinner with oakridge Santa Maria and jay Love. Raised direct st 400 with hickory. One got away made it to 134 but the other is good. I ate the 2 small pieces even overdone it was good. I love this grill.

It’s good for sure. My go to on all quick cook beef. I gave a buddy a decent sized container of it and a month or 2 later he asked me what it was and said he had been putting it on everything even vegetables. He bought a lb of it off amazon. That jah Love jerk rub is really good if you want to add a pepper hint to a regular rub.

I’ve got a package of it. I have not tried it yet. How hot is it?

Ice fishing on a clear but bitter cold day
You are fishing. I was going to say it looks like a fantastic day.
But you said it was a “bitter cold” day.
    That causes me to pause.
I am willing to bet MY idea of bitter cold is different than YOUR idea of bitter cold.
I’m guessing with how the wind was howling out there it was probably below -30c on the lake with wind chill.

It’ has a sweet medium high peppery heat would be my best description. Would be good to dust some wings with if you want some heat.

    You ok on firewood?
That stockpile is still good. Thought I would have burned through a bit more this year, but doing my best to burn down the supply @northGAcock

I am running that supply down faster than the wood @bgebrent That is good though. I always make a fresh batch for Easter.

@frazzdaddy You have a great taining program going if SWMBO can deliver that result on a routine basis.  Better to be lucky than good any day...
Congrats on the cook as well.  Beef ribs beat their prok cousins every time.

Thanks. Always wondered what the draw to this cut was. It’s that crisp fat on the outside like a ribeye for sure. Should have taken a picture of the fat side on these.

That's oyster sauce on tofu that was marinated in lobster base and in SV for 4 hrs @180F.  Then under the broiler.   Game changer.

I just started grave's last week. I have slept 3 hours in the last 36. Luckily today is my Friday and the bottle of bourbon I got this afternoon should help for the night.

I feel your pain. When offshore I work 12:00pm to 12:00am one rotation then switch to 12:00am to 12:00pm. You get so run down and delirious after doing that for a while you don’t know if you are coming or going.

Seems like a good tactic to keep people frosty and prevent accidents and oil spills.  It seems to be working....oh...wait...
