That’s a massive amount of butts to cook. Have you now been bitten by the bug tonbiy a stick burner? They are tons of fun to cook on, flavor is totally different then an egg in my opinion.XL BGE, KJ classic, Joe Jr, UDS x2

Way to bring it home. Nailed it.Hopefully good weather for the stick feeding.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

the horizontal is reverse flow. Both racks slide out. the cabinet has a damper where you can totally shut it off if you aren't using it and all three racks slide out as well. Its REALLY heavy. We have to move it with a tractor with forks but I have a trailer. I'm gonna cut the legs off and mount it on the trailer this summer so I can move it around easier. Its a really great cooker. My neighbor got into watching pitmasters a few years ago and just up and decided he would try to build one. After he finished it he only used it a couple times and I kept hitting him up for it. I bought it for $2500 which is what he had in it. I love it.

@Biggreenpharmacist - that is quite a sweet rig right there. Congrats on scoring it for a great price. Looks like you have it dialed in with the cooks.

Yeah, I've got to finish sanding and painting it now just to get it looking better but it is really nice. I couldn't buy one like it for the same money. I've always wanted a bigass smoker like it so I'm really excited to have it. We cooked ribs in the cabinet for the superbowl. They were great, too.

That is awesome on so many levels.
Can you describe “reverse flow” for me? I feel I can guess, but can’t articulate it well...Large BGE and Medium BGE

With the chimney on the same end as the firebox and the baffle plate, the smoke/heat travels the entire length of the chamber and then back across the cooking grate. Supposed to get less hot spots and a more even cook.

What a beast! That is awesome. Mad jealous but I'm cooking less and less (by volume) food these days so I don't see one of these in my near future. I still havne't maxed out the dishwasher yet so I'm not in the big boy club when it comes to smokers

Well, I didn't NEED it, but that's just one of those things I've always wanted so I jumped at the chance. when I get it mounted on the trailer and can drag it around, I'll use it a lot more.
