What do you guys do with the stainless steel racks after each cook ? Wash in the dishwasher or leave to burn off on the next cook ?

Welcome aboard my friend. My grates just stay in the grill. I usually give them a brush off after each cook. That is all.Memphis, TN

Welcome aboard. I also like to keep a spic and span grill but that isn't possible with an egg. I will put my hardware in the gasser and let it heat up and use a good grill brush to give it all a good scrubbing. Probably 3-4 times a year. You will need some good heat resistant gloves to make that job easier.

I remember my first cook, before I bought the BGE I was using gas... Lit the charcoals and waited all of 5 minutes before throwing $40 worth of steaks on... Worst thing I've ever tried... That's when I learned about VOC'sChicago, IL BGE XL BGE Mini Webber Charcoal / Elmhurst, IL

Welcome! Nice to have you around. This place is a wealth of knowledge so don't be afraid to ask. I tend to learn more from my failures than my victories. Enjoy!

You'll find all you need on here, plus the BGE main site and https://thecooksdigest.co.uk for food inspiration.
As @Eoin said we have even managed to sustain a bit of high-brow culture. With Pompey flying this season, no need to hold back. Are you from 'the island'? My lad graduated from Pompey Uni last Summer.
Also, my cleaning regime is; an old school Vax (orange one) to suck everything out, spruce up the outside with baby wipes and liberal use of linseed oil on the handle - because it reminds me of cricket bats.
Other girls may try to take me away
But you know, it's by your side I will stay -
