    Dying in jail as a result of a life sentence is one thing, but no inmate should die (or be beaten or raped) as a result of violence from a fellow inmate (or guard) no matter how vile they are.

    I tend to agree with you, but please note that I posted that before it was known that he was killed in his cell.  Since he was 89, I’d just assumed he’d died of natural causes.

    murder is a natural cause of death in a federal penitentiary for fbi informants, hard to survive hard time with that on your record.
