Actually the ICW is about 50 from his front door. While boarding his windows and strapping his roof down are not to be discounted, that is going to be the least of his problem when the storm surge rolls in. He’s in flood zone A. No bueno. Any other time, I would kill to have his location though.Gulfcoastguy said:
You can't say that they haven't tried to mitigate the damage. They have strapped the roof down to screw anchors, boarded up the windows and door, and packed to evacuate. Yep, that’s why I sold a lot at about 14 to 15 foot elevation a few years before Katrina. I was upfront about the elevation so that was on the purchaser.

I just signed up for Operation BBQ Relief Sept 16-18. @JohnInCarolina @tarheelmatt. They also need help towing supplies from Charlotte (people who can tow large trailers) Saturday. Might stay longer if my friends in Pawleys Island SC aren't ready for me to help them yet. Deployment zone has not yet been established.Richmond and Mathews County, VA.
