Reason I ask...trying to understand what is the reasoning behind setting my new RX with my eyes dilated.
Couldn't see worth a skit out of new glasses. AT ALL went back in for evaluation. Technician said "well you just have to get used to them "..I said bull crap I CAN NOT SEE. She took me into the exam room to prove me wrong and my vision worse than when they tried to correct? Her response was well I guess we'll have to refract you without dilation?
So now I'm having to go back in
I'm not trying to bad mouth ..just trying to understand the reasoning behind making a correction when you obviously cant see (dilated). Doesn't make sense to me .

Optomatrist or opthomologist?
Not an opthamologist but I have only read the chart with clear everyday eyes.
Dilation is for examining the inside of the eye with that painful bright blue light.

They are not only doing an RX. They are examining your overall health and the health of you eyes. Those examinations include, but are not limited to: early indications of diabetes, high blood pressure, glaucoma and macular degeneration, among other things.Large Egg, PGS A40 gasser.
