Struggled with the "free" e-filing several hours today on the IRS website; I could've filled out the regular 1040 with pen quicker than this.  In frustration I went to H&R's website and got an appointment at 4, seven minutes later they were done.
I swear, I'm gonna join the Amanas or Mennonites or xxx yet.  Dammit.

Did mine this afternoon. Used TaxCut, went easily. No problems e-filing and it was already accepted by the IRS just a half hour after I filed.

Only owed a grand this year. Sweet!

Yeah. Instagram is still pretty cool. If it wasn't for my rving groups on faceblock, I'd have dumped that one a while ago. #JeremiahinSC. (Yes John I stole your idea)

And it irks me that someone created that account here years ago and it's inactive... I'd like to have it  Lol

I am on hold dealing with an airline...booked an international flight last week and was messing around only to find the same flight $200/person (2 people booked for Sep 2018) cheaper.  Refundable tix but I need to hear the story...
    Edit: timing is everything...
Edit #2:  After a "don't shoot the messenger" conversation I have to take my issue/concern up the corporate food chain.  Onward and upward...

I have a lot of respect for customer service done right. I think you can't go wrong with RW, CGS, or Smobot.
I have a problem, likely something I may have done, and Smobot is on it like bark on a tree.
This was amazing on so many different levels.

I'm in an all-day conference call for the DOE.  As terrible as that sounds, it is actually preferable to being there in person, in Washington DC for the meeting.

I do too.  Called Benchmade a few days ago to buy a deep carry pocket clip, nice lady ended up sending one satin and one black with screws, all free.  I will be ordering a custom knife when I get some extra play money because of this.

Yesterday I called Bed, Bath, Beyond to see if they would honor the 20% off coupon that specifically said in-store only, and fine print states no LC, on a 9qt LC DO that wasn't in any of the stores around, even Chicago.  A sweet lady from Jersey did in fact honor it, she told me about her handed down Guardian collection, nice lady.  Saved $90!  Like doing business with them too, and their similar to Costco no hassle return policy.

Ron, go ahead and tell Brent has your sons room....since I already have a room...or the garage with the possum would be ok. I would not put him in the basement though. ;)

    @northgacock @bgebrent @jeremiah @yemtrey @doubleegger......
    Bring it.......
Robin, dont worry about the garage or basement......we got rooms, and two working bathrooms, finally!!! We no longer have to go outside to the honey bucket, and take showers with the garden hose.
Plus there is a nice VRBO 2 doors down across the street.
I guess I need to start making more slushies.....
I really should get that possum out of the garage, just in case.....

good....letting Brent have access to all your wine would not be a smart move. You might even want to work on your security of said basement to protect yourself from further risk.

Agreed. We pay a guy that came highly recommended to us 15 years ago so we have used him since that time (the year we moved and kept our first house as a rental).  In 2017 we sold the rental house and sold some stock and bought a beach condo. This created more work for him and it cost us $475 instead of the usual $175. It seemed like a lot until I reviewed the return in detail and saw that it was 80 pages long. Then I realized that it was once again worth every penny.

Oh, yeah. Had not thought about that. We are screwed. Brent is not the problem.......The real problem is the one wearing the crown. Girl can throwdown some chardonnay.
Ain't sayin' just sayin'. She works up a thirst keeping Brent in line. I will stock up for her....
