I read the whole thread and enjoyed every post.  Great work and even better looking food.  I agree that days like this are memorable.  " Remember the day we went to Uncle....."

Incredible looking family spread! Sour dough looks awesome, my family likes it when the crust has attitude.

@AlbertaEgger somehow I think Rockwood and Maple Leaf must use a similar sewing machine (or whatever it is called) to seal their bags. The two bags of Rockwood I have been able to get opened just like as described, and that’s how Maple leaf opens.

@GATraveller - There are different methods/machines for stitching bags like that, so the same method doesn't work on all bags.

And if I have a knife in my hand, I already know how I'm getting that bag open :)

I know this method works on Rockwood bag.  I know this because I have to watch the video every single freaking time I want to open the bag without a knife.

I know you're no slacker, so I consider that high praise :) These kids have been quite spoiled as far as being provided with good eats goes.

It's good to see you here again. We (at least, I) miss you.

Funny out of all of that amazingness the thing that I was like "Heck ya man" was that you opened the perfect bag of Rockwood.  Deft skills my friend, and great looking grub.

You're very welcome.  It can be tweaked a bunch of different ways, depending on what your family likes.

The best Mac n cheese I've had, and that I miss fondly, was served in the Rush cafeteria on wing day (Thursdays).

Caliking, what a wonderful post and the comments that followed surely show the quality of folks here. It's all about family.
At this exact moment I am sitting at a small cafe here in Paris France enjoying watching the crowds near the Eiffel Tower. No BS here...The  waiter just looked over my shoulder ...And proclaimed as he saw your pictures  ...some French phrase that I suspect meant WOW.... ! maybe it was holy crap I ain't sure.... He ...and I are very impressed. All the the best to you and family.
