I like it too. Bigger doesn’t always mean better. It’s no secret that mini is my “favorite” egg. Like most things, my mini had it’s short comings as it lacks capacity. But for things that it will handle it excels. To me the mini is a far better “grill” than my large egg. As such it gets 95% of my “grilling”.SciAggie said:

A little over a year ago I left the offshore industry hoping that it was forever. However I really missed it believe that or not. I will never be able to hold up to doing it year around again. Watching Vivian Howard making catfish ceviche. At the catfish farm, she chimes in, "Is a catfish called a catfish because of these things?" You can't make this stuff up.

My brothers were week on week of, my older brother still is Tuesday to Tuesday.. I need to get up there on his week off been to long.South of Columbus, Ohio. -
Years ago I worked 6 weeks on and 1 week off. Through time it changed to 3 weeks on and 1 week off. As safety regulations got more and more common place, you now see a lot of shorter or odd ball shifts such as 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. That is a very common shift on sailing vessels. On most platforms they have moved to 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off or 2 weeks on and 1 week off for the most part.alaskanassasin said:SGH said:

As with most things, there are several other factors that come into play as to how long a shift can last. Some oil companies have a policy of staying offshore no longer than 28 days without going to shore. However this usually gets waived if they need you. On a foreign flagged vessel, you can basically stay as long as you can take it. This is what I just experienced. I was on a foreign flagged vessel working for a foreign oil company. Hence the long stay. 1 on and 1 off would be right up alley now that I’m older.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

LEO, rode with wife to her friends house so she can let the dogs out. These dogs are really not friendly at all. 100lb pit mixes. Sitting in the car wondering if they ate her or not. I was told specifically not to go in. Supposedly they are friendly to my wife.

Staci and I were at Bent River Brewing (local brewery), and I made a comment about them stocking Rolling Rock bottles in the fridge behind the bar. An hour later a dude bellies up next to us and starts ordering them.WeberWho said:

i want one of those big boilers, i did not think grand scale enough when making mine
mine only holds 18 bugs, two pound bugs
fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
Holds a bushel of peanuts. Perfect for my use. I steam some oysters, do a low country boil occasionally. Works as a fryer...though I have never done so. Boiled peanuts though....that’s it’s sweet spot!SGH said:

Cen-Tex tried it at his place while I was there. It’s cool but the pies cook so fast that the crust really doesn’t pick up much of any smoke flavor. Gas is just a lot easier to use and control.HeavyG said:"I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

Got lucky yesterday and caught a training session from the viewpoint at Scampton. For WW2 buffs, this is where 617 Squadron, The Dambusters, was created and flew from during the war. The village pub is called the Dambusters Inn and is full of memorabilia. We see the Red Arrows training from our house, the base is less than 10 miles as the crow flies. Anyone over here visiting Lincoln let me know and I'll take you for a pint at the Dambusters Inn.
Nice flypast.

Watching what will likely be the heaviest accumulation of snow this season on the first day of Spring. That said, in the main I will give the ground hog a pass for his shadow sighting this year.
