@nolaegghead Those potatoes and carrots look perfect. I know the beef is the star, but well roasted veggies are trickier than they seem.

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

I will admit, twisted tea.  In my defense I am out of my favorite beer, Barrio Blonde.

Sorry for you folks up north.  Snow is cool, but I gotta think this winter weather has to be getting old.
march is the least favorite month up here for me,  but i prefer snow to cold rain.  by the end of june i will be done with the heat and looking forward to the fall and winter.

Not sure if there is any data to support this, but I think Illinois has the highest number of drivers with personalized plates.  Where does Pook come from?

@fishlessman I get the preference for the snow vs cold/freezing rain.  Around here we spend a good deal of the Winter with temps hovering in the low 30's.  We get a lot of the rain/freezing rain/snow precipitation with many of the storms that come thru.  Just a great mess with traffic.

we had 28 inches last thursday, with the longer sun hours theres maybe 3 inches left.  no need to shovel the driveway this time of year, snow was gone there in a couple days

I enjoy no wowing, weed eating, etc.  However, I do spend a lot of time trimming bushes, trees, cactus, picking up debris, and raking rocks.  So it is not "no maintenance".

With that said, if you skip that work for a week, or two you will not be knee high in grass.  I really enjoy being able to do the work on my schedule as opposed to the grasses schedule.

Power lines are down everywhere. We still have power, but many in the area do not.

I wouldn't mind a bit of that white stuff down this way.  Just overcast, cold and windy here (37 degrees)

family beach house took a beating, waves wrapped the house and down the driveway a good hundred feet back. not much damage except for some cleanup, new water heater as the basement got flooded, and getting the neighbors seawall off our beach

    from the last storm

next doors seawall collapsed, those blocks are about 12,000 pounds a piece. not sure how thats getting fixed

new neighbors tore the house off the wall and built new back away from the water last summer, then decided to lower the wall for a better view. wall was capped on top before, not a good idea to remove the cap

"that darn wall is blockin' the view and it ain't do nothin but hold back the sea."

    "let's tear off the top."

    "what could possibly go wrong?"
