Maybe because there were 31 confirmed cases of voter impersonation between 2000 and 2014 and 186 people killed by fertilizer by Timothy McVeigh.Toxarch said:

So you are saying 31 confirmed cases of voter fraud. That's 30 times more. Why aren't you pushing for voter identification?nolaegghead said:

Which party NOW caters to illegal immigrants and which party says you can't require ID for voting? Oh wait, that's the same group. The same group that used to want all illegal immigrants deported and a wall built. But now they want to use them for their votes so they flip flopped their stance in the last decade.
How many cases of vehicular manslaughter were there last year? Where is the push for vehicle regulation and background checks?

Simmer down now, Slim. The push for voter ID laws is from people that want to disenfranchise the opposition. Usually people in society oil the squeaky wheel but this is a solution in search of a problem. So much time and effort has proven the "ID requirement" is, on the surface, a solution to voter impersonation, not registration, but in reality a way to disenfranchise a blocks of voter that have the right to vote, but for the opposition. Same tactics used in banana republics. Win at all costs, spin, etc. What happened to the millions of Trump's claimed "illegal" voters? Read up on that.Toxarch said:

Democrats aren't pro-illegal immigration. You're drinking the propaganda, and it's working on you and (I urge you to read my rawstory article, but that probably won't happen) a certain demographic that are predisposed to lap up propaganda, that which is easily disproved with simple research, in a confirmation-bias orgy. VPN, BTW, doesn't stop cookies. But even if it did, you'll search for confirmation and you know where it lies.
Our country is built on immigrants. You don't see a power monopoly by American Indians. DACA (AKA "dreamers) are kids dragged here, grew up, know no other culture or country, contribute to society. All except the cruelest American agree they should be given citizenship or a viable path to it.
No one wants illegal immigration. Statistics on immigration show how it's fallen dramatically over the past decade as the (Primarily) Mexican economy is doing better, and hostility towards immigrants has increased, thanks to people like you who lack the ability of empathy for other humans.
The entire "wall" concept as a metaphor for effectiveness is completely lost as apparently Trump himself is doubling down on the literalness of the "beautiful wall" rather than taking a more "security effectiveness" tact of utilizing technology and policy.
I could write a book about this, but you're bloated on hate flavored Kool-Aid.
Cheers, Buddy.

"Where is the push for vehicle regulation and background checks?"
ALL states, every one of them, records and licenses vehicles and the records of drivers and regulates both. They all have standards for intoxication, sentences for non-compliance. I'd like to thank you for supporting my argument here. Where is the push? The argument is as sound as a posit for banning cars and making everyone walk.
It's like you took the same class as all the other hacks that regurgitate extremist talk-radio indoctrination spew everywhere. I've heard it all before, it's laced with the same sadness that someone bearing a torch in Salem in centuries past exhibited, dripping with ignorance, unwilling to rise above a proven failed world-view, and unchanging.
Go to nra.com and look at the slide show on the home page. Red meat phrases like "the real truth" pepper all the slides. They do their research and their target are the weak minded. Try to think independently and be objective, that's my advice.

Forget the NRA.com site. NRA TV is where the real red meat is. First time I saw one of their vids I would have sworn it was an Onion parody.

You love to change the subject. Why are you bringing up Trump's claims on illegal voters. I could not care less about what Trump said. He's an idiot and contrary to what you think, I didn't vote for him. I'm talking about the 31 confirmed cases of voter fraud that you brought up.nolaegghead said:

You must be confused from all the Liberal flip-flopping kool-aide you've been drinking. Democrats loved illegal immigrants when it was time to vote. Yes, the illegal ones. Feel free to break out your google-fu and look it up. Plenty of videos where Hillary (and Obama) want a wall, more border security, and mass deportation and then they flip a few years later wanting paths to citizenship and no wall.
I know a proxy (VPN does not matter) does not block cookies. But clearing my cookies every day does.
I know you love to talk about being raised as a Southern White Catholic, but don't preach to me about immigrants as though you know me. Both of my parents are LEGAL immigrants. But you seem to think I'm some kind of inbred, gun toting, MAGA, pro-white American because that fits your definition of someone against immigration. Sorry, not inbred, don't like Trump, not white, and don't hate immigrants. And since you claim to have so much empathy for DACA and illegal immigrants, why is it just now an issue for you? Why werent you trying to get them a path to citizenship a long time ago? Oh, it's because your party didn't care before and didn't tell you to care.
The wall is not a metaphor. It wasn't a metaphor when Hillary wanted it literally built. It wasn't a metaphor when Obama wanted it literally built. It isn't a metaphor when Trump wants it literally built. Go to the border, there are lots of places where you can literally walk across, no fence, no wall, nothing. There is a big open area right next to El Paso, TX. Nobody stationed there, no cameras, nothing but a few buildings and a border marker.
I do hate: I hate people who hate America and The Constitution. I hate people who abuse animals. I hate people who hurt children. I hate racist groups like the KKK and BLM. I hate people who think their feelings trump my rights. I hate an over cooked steak. I hate the designated hitter rule. I hate the "football move" Dez Bryant catch rule.
Stop trying to think you know me. You don't. You like to assume you do. You send me PMs like you are my buddy and then try to accuse me of stuff in here. Ah, I get it, you flip flop just like your party does. Cheers.Aledo, Texas

There's very little difference between a typical semi automatic hunting rifle and an AR-15 in the ability to kill. Main differences are 1) menacing appearance, and 2) size of available clips. For those who don't really understand, get educated here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbIIjIFKYYg start watching at 6:00. I'm not sure what good banning clips above a certain capacity would do when a person could just buy multiple small clips. I can swap out my 12-cartridge clip in my 9mm in about 4 seconds. With multiple clips, I can easily shoot 50+ rounds per minute.Richmond and Mathews County, VA. Large BGE, Weber gas, little Weber charcoal. Vintage ManGrates. This is a serious query: When did the phase "thoughts and prayers" become a trigger phrase for liberals? Who started the hate on that? And why aren't you mad at Bernie when he says almost the exact same thing?

And so we have effectively embraced a form of ritualized violence upon ourselves, or at minimum, have become numb to it. We are stuck because we can’t even agree that the instruments of that violence are a problem.
There are many examples of this sort of thing in other cultures. What perhaps makes us special as Americans is that we like to think of ourselves as immune to this sort of thing, despite all evidence to the contrary.

pretty surprised the police dont have a bigger presence on school premises in the rest of the country, mass schools have an officer in every school plus a second car at the driveway entrance that moves round during the day. its not uncommon for me to pass 3 or 4 cruisers as i go past the grammar school in my neighborhood, the high school has alot more officers on the grounds
