@DMW- dang I give you credit on one hand for not jumping in when forum first alerted a few years ago but the delay (likely caused by blonde water) to date...
Now, since you are into the experimental stage, give Blanton's a go if you can find it.  You will not be disappointed.
Thanks for the steer as I was self-debating about what brown water to enjoy this evening.  Choice made.

It’s really good, isn’t it?  I’ve yet to try Blanton’s, but Double Oaked is hard to beat in my book.

It is really good. I would have tried it earlier, but I have never seen it on my local liquor store's shelves until today.

@GrateEggspectations - I can't imagine a pace with Aquavit comparable to the other beverages you have listed.  Although the alcohol content is comparable to the non-beer species, the pace would likely get to me in quick order.  But it definitely is a different deal.  Have a great 2018!
@lousubcap: Enjoy. Have one for me.  You've inspired me to try to grab another bottle in the coming days. Nice thing about aquavit is that it is right at home parked in a snowbank between servings. It's -34F here right now with no shortage of snow. And a happy New Year to you as well!

Decided to break out the true anti-freeze:  Aguavit from Iceland.  Been in the freezer since given to me by my son upon return from there months ago.  Yes, it does the trick.  I need to carefully manage this or I could miss a great part of the evening.

Finished a bottle of this recently. Was a nice change of pace from the usual scotch, bourbon and beer.
    At the same time?

I disagree.  Clear alcohols are only for rich white women on diets.

Try telling that to "Axl Rosé".

Aren't most alcohols clear - i.e., transparent to light  (e.g., whiskey, beer, vodka, etc.)?

A good milk stout from Church Street.

So happy to have Port Brewing/Lost Abbey in Ohio now!   How did you like the DWTG?  I bought a bottle of the Dead Mans Game to drink this weekend.  Also got a bottle of the Hop Project Simcoe/Citra.  Did I say I'm excited to have these available now locally?!!

Very excited to have them in Ohio as well. The dwtg was good but didn’t love it. Nice black tea prescence, subtle peach notes. Overall really happy they are showing up in Ohio!!!

@DoubleEgger - Given there is no such thing as "I'll have one beer" then your above chart should titled "Should I have beer tonight?".  =)

Moving directly into escape velocity with this accelerator.  Straight from the freezer into the glass.  I don't ride this fuel often but when I do it is worth it!

As good as it can get for a non-brown water juice.  The beauty is that the landing is always extremely smooth.  Yes, I do ration it.
