Decided to break out the true anti-freeze: Aguavit from Iceland. Been in the freezer since given to me by my son upon return from there months ago. Yes, it does the trick. I need to carefully manage this or I could miss a great part of the evening.

@GrateEggspectations - I can't imagine a pace with Aquavit comparable to the other beverages you have listed. Although the alcohol content is comparable to the non-beer species, the pace would likely get to me in quick order. But it definitely is a different deal.
