We went up to Coralville 2 weeks ago and had intentions of getting 2 whole packers.  They had gone up to 3.79/pound.  Have never paid over 2.99 in 2 years.  Decided to wait see if they drop next trip. Still a deal though, local Fareway sells their choice for 3.99- on sale.

The one in Cumming GA had some this weekend after several weeks of not seeing any. The butcher said they get a limited amount and they are gone quickly.

So I went into my local Costco's here in CT.  I WISH that I could pay the $3.99 a pound for prime like you guys get.  They had flats with the point removed, choice for $6.99 a pound.. WTF... for choice!   Me thinks I need to keep on looking or mortgage the house.

I was shocked to see prime packers in the Columbia, Maryland Costco 2 weeks ago. I bought 1 but should have grabbed 3. I don't know how long they will keep them in stock. I will stop by one day next week and report back. This one was almost 20lbs.

This is not Prime but Costco Biz center in San Diego has Choice on sale right now for $1.79lb. They carry Prime too but it's about what everyone is seeing it for.  I believe $3.6x.

Cross border dash for gas yesterday, $3.99US/pound Bellingham WA. Unfortunately, no brisket at any price at either Surrey or Langley BC.
Local Safeway has Select/Canada AA for just under $11CDN/pound - no thanks!

FYI: For all you Eggheads in & around the DC Metro Area --
Costco at Glenarden, MD (east of the DC Beltway) at $2.99/lb.  First time I've seen Costco Prime Packer Briskets at this warehouse and essentially within the Beltway.  I bought two packer briskets and may go back for more.  According to the Costco butcher, they've always had them but they go pretty fast.

Prime Briskets ($2.89 p/lb.are back at Costco in Clovis/Fresno here in CA after about an 8 month hiatus.  They don't carry them during the summer the meat mgr. told me because everybody buys tri-tip.  The only ones I ever see other than going across town to R/D is at Walmart (ungraded on the package, select??)

Got one in the egg, about 5 hrs. in.  I took off most of the flat for another cook of some kind so it's probably 7-8 lbs.

How much are tri tips in your neck of the woods? They are fairly rare in Georgia. The last one I saw was $10.99lb
