Working out travel logistics for a crazy work trip this fall:

    Monday - Ann Arbor.
    Tuesday - East Lansing.
    Wednesday - South Bend.
    Thursday - Evanston.
    Friday - Madison.

Sounds busy- but if you have time for a beer while in Evanston drop me a line @JohnInCarolina
Cool!  Evanston is actually the one stop where I might have some more time.  It's a long story but I'm not sure I'll be giving a talk yet at Northwestern.  But the plan is to stop there between Notre Dame and UW.

we can find you a street corner in Evanston and just give the talk to random passers by. You'll fit right in!

Left a Pelican in the backyard with chicken salad whole wheat wraps, El Miagro chips, and Frut flavored water from Aldi, spoons, plates, napkins.  Came home to this.

He called me about one of the tear off crew guys cracking my fake chimney.  You can see it on the house on the left.  Could've swore it was brick from the ground, and a real chimney, lol.

Original plan was me buying 3 cans of my preferred semi-flat black Krylon rust tough enamel at O'Reily's, and them tagging it with a couple of coats.  He left me a souvenir, and I can return the paint.

The real chimney that's left will be tightened up tomorrow, and shortened to be out of sight.  Plan B will be much better, I'm sure that fiber cement would look like kaka in a few years.  They also rerouted my range hood exhaust away from the plumbing vent, which was the leaking design issue to begin with after the kitchen remodel.  The big a$$ dish was removed,a scrapper has already picked it up. Lol
Another ground wire he thinks was for an old antenna in the attic was removed.

A couple minor work arounds, but nothing a sheet or two of OSB couldn't take care of...was really fortunate there were no hidden surprises.  I even compensated the funds a little for this.

My ex had shakes under the asphalt layers, added $1500 to the bill.

Really pleased with the quality, these guys don't Fock around.  This was all done in one day.

Steel is an adjustment, ivy green, even more of an adjustment...but love how this stuff gives a clean, updated look with color options.  Will be curious how my G and E bills will reflect this now.

Some trim work tomorrow and I am getting much closer to sticking a fork in this kitchen remodel turned new roof and gutters project. Lol

    Nice @Focker

Congrats on finishing everything up.  That was my situation last year.  Got everything done in 6 months.  April-New roof.  Complete tear off and new wood.  November-New siding, trim and insulation. November-new furnace with humidifier and air purifier and central air unit.
Now outside of needing a tree taken down and remodeling kitchen to our tastes we're in real good shape.

    Wow, that is awesome!
I'm in the same boat, furnace water heater, ac are only a couple of years old.

Next year may be a new Therma Tru door and Larson storm door.  My bathroom is in the works for Winter, all ceramic, have some cool ideas for it.  Need to tear up that concrete patio slab and replace it in a few years.

    Always something my friend. :)
