Filets on Cast Iron
Dredger

Been awhile, but finally remembered to grab my camera. Simple cook, but one of our favorites. Forgot to get a sliced shot, but it was a perfect medium rare with a great crust.

Nice, hard to beat a good steak cooked using cast iron.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
-
You are so right @Skiddymarker. Screaming hot cast iron + BGE = perfection.

Cut shot?
-
Sorry @Eggcelsior, I forgot to get a cut shot. I'll do better, I promise. However, it pretty much looked like this one from a previous cook.

Looks great. I like the salad too. Hard to beat a nice baked potato and salad with a great steak.

Thanks @SMITTYtheSMOKER. Steaks on the egg is one our favorite cooks. @theTrim, as you know, the egg makes it easy. You're most welcome @YukonRon. The egg makes a great argument about never getting steak out at a restaurant. We prefer to save ourselves the disappointment. @NPHuskerFl, not only do I spin, I also flip, and sometimes, just throw something on there and let 'er ride. Case in point, meatloaf is on deck for later today.
