We just had three of the hottest years on record, in a row. Sucks for ice fishing.

Phx or Sask? Actually both have extreme seasons that are almost unlivable.

Saskatoon. Farming family. Moved to nola because he loved it. Got married to SWMBO's best childhood friend. She clerked for a federal judge, he wrote a software program that handled container shipping port traffic, sold it for millions, they moved back up to Saskatoon after Katrina, bought a historic building downtown with 50 apartments and a mall on the bottom floor. They moved back down here a year ago and are restoring a beautiful mansion in uptown. Some of the kindest and most humble people I know. They have another place right on a parade route where we hang out during some of the uptown parades.blasting said:nolaegghead said:

Watch the Open this week....even if you hate golf the weather and drunken scenery cant be beat!

The best part about Phx summers is that everyone leaves town and it keeps our area from becoming southern california in terms of real estate prices and over crowding. But itll be mid 70s here this week and in 73 minutes via car from my driveway ill be in snow. Then i can leave it there and come back to nice weathernolaegghead said:

I grew up in midwest and learned that while heat is uncomfortable, cold is painful...we had a brutal cold set of days last week, even by phx standards and now we are back on track.... -
So true. It's 60F at the moment getting up to the 70s. At lunch, when it will be in the high 60s, people will look like the girl on the beach. It's absurd.paqman said:@JohnInCarolina @td66snrf @jtcBoynton @HofstraJet @Ozzie_Isaac @Eggcelsior @GATraveller @westernbbq @Foghorn

I'm not shocked at that. Have you gone up in winter? They do offer overnights or day trips in winter so people can experience the extreme weather.Eggcelsior said:
