Especially not me, I send all my recipients the best of Canadian music. I assume you already have Celine Dion :)
I would go with Stan Rogers.
If I get you Fred you will get a Stan Rogers CD AND a bag of Maple Leaf lump. I think I remember you liked it somewhere. But you're only 3 hrs away so maybe I will just drive it over :)
I have a Stan Rogers CD.  I'm not a folk music fan, but  I've been known to imbibe strong drink and sing along with "Barrett's Privateers" with my buddy.  Godamn them all!

edit:  You are correct about Maple Leaf being my favorite.  You Canucks are hoarding a great thing!  Lights well, burns hot & clean (neutral smoke) and lasts a long time.  Oh, you can pick up some French words reading the label too.
I can always just fill up the truck and meet you in Port Huron...

That's very tempting and kind of you, but then I would be sleeping in the garage with my eggs and load of Maple Leaf.  I'm afraid I'll have to wait until we are near Detroit and I'll sneak over to Windsor and grab some.  Who carries it?

I just pulled out.  I did a quick run through of my little town and there is not a lot of 'local' stuff to be had.  I certainly do not want to send someone stuff they can buy at a grocery chain.  Maybe I'll stock up in anticipation of next year.

Your local is not my local. Get back in. Seriously, Big fat Daves (or whatever) is exotic for some of us. I've asked for a jar of Dukes Mayonnaise for 2 years now. Still waiting.

Home Hardware almost always has it. I have to special order 10 bags in the fall to get me through to spring but they always have it in summer. And the offer stands.

@cazzy I officially registered on Elfster.  I have a US shipping address in the state of NY which I am sure it will be cheaper to ship to.  I don't want to put it as my shipping address in Elfster to confuse the drawing process.  What would be the best way to proceed?
Use the US shipping addy.  I will make sure you're not paired with another Canadian.

@gmac I cannot stand her but SWMBO is her biggest fan...  She had 20+ of her albums on her iPhone...
@paqman - What did you do to her phone?
@DMW I fixed the typo...  She actually has 24 albums on her phone...

Now all the Americans are saying "WTF's a chanson?" :)
They can figure it out, worst case there is Google translate.

You guys still buy mayonnaise? How quaint.

I stopped buying mayo once @caliking demonstrated how much better it is homemade (two days ago).

    Try to keep up, ya'll.

Sorry - just a brief hijack:
The mayo that @20stone mentioned was actually a hybrid garlic aioli-mayo recipe from these sources=

    http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2015/01/two-minute-foolproof-aioli-recipe.html

    http://www.saveur.com/article/recipes/20-second-mayo

My recipe ended up being something like
    1 egg
    0.5 tsp salt
    0.5 tsp sugar
    2 tsp lemon juice
    6-8 cloves garlic, finely grated.
1.5 cup olive oil (I'll try 1.25 cups next time)

Start with all ingredients in a 32oz deli container. Place immersion blender in the container (all the way to the bottom). Switch the blender on and and slowly pull up until the ingredients are all emulsified and look like mayo.

Took longer to assemble ingredients than to make the stuff. Very garlicky, and very awesome.
