People use the "like" and "agree" flags in abundance, but it's kinda obvious there are people that find some posts disagreeable, spam, troll and abusive.
Damn it people, use these flags - they are there to communicate how you feel. (side note - sorry @Canadians there is no "apology" flag) And if you use them, rather than say something regretful, how much more of a wonderful environment we could have!
That is all. Friday in 12 minutes CST. Carry on.

@nolaegghead As a Canadian, those flags you speak of cause me stress. I'm always paranoid that I've dumb thumbed someone

@blasting suspect any outlier responses to you to be from that . Makes the forum much more exciting. Hey, you're an immigrant, not a Canadian, right?blasting said:@nolaegghead As a Canadian, those flags you speak of cause me stress. I'm always paranoid that I've dumb thumbed someone

Yes, a Canadian immigrant. Lived in PHX area for the last 20 yrs. and I have one anchor baby in case they try and toss me.Phoenix -
You had it right. You said disagreeable. I'm the oddball who wants a dislike button. For example, if someone posts a head cheese thread (in the style of Dixie?), I want a dislike button that I can preferably hit multiple times.nolaegghead said:

Nola - I'm so sorry you feel that way.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

@Skiddymarker - what way in particular? I like Canadians in general, definitely like you.

@nolaegghead I've always thought that those flags are akin to using a buffalo call from a buffalo blind if you catch my drift.
I've been more of a lurker than a poster around here over the last year or so, and it seems that the mods have decided to put their big boy pants on much more now adays than they did in the past.
As someone who agrees with much of what you're posting in the threads you're referencing; I've always avoided hitting the troll button on some of the posts that come across as harsh in disagreement unless they're blatantly racist/offensive.
I always figured that that we just seem to figure things out between ourselves (or just kept drinking until we weren't pissed off any more). I never really felt the need to use the flags.... It always felt to me like the kid in elementary school that ran to the teacher because you called him a douche bag. Am I wrong on this? -

You spelled 'hypocrisy' in a wrongly fasshion manner[social media disclaimer: irony and sarcasm may be used in some or all of user's posts; emoticon usage is intended to indicate moderately jocular social interaction; the comments toward users, their usernames, and the real people (living or dead) that they refer to are not intended to be adversarial in nature; those replying to this user are entering into a tacit agreement that they are real-life or social-media acquaintances and/or have agreed to or tacitly agreed to perpetrate occasional good-natured ribbing between and among themselves and others]

Ok. I rely on spell check, my bad. Not as bad as hypocrisy though.Darby_Crenshaw said:You spelled 'hypocrisy' in a wrongly fasshion manner -

I try real hard to stay out of controversial topics. I have found that it usually ends with a buffalo attack. This is a BGE forum. As such, politics, religion, football and rotomolded cooler debates have no place here in my opinion. If I see folks talking and arguing about such, I simply move on my friend.pgprescott said:@SGH never engages in such tripe.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.
