OT- Superman and the Super Bowl.

Superman would never be that short (Saban). There's also quite a few people out there that see Saban as the guy that quit the NFL while lying to everyone about it.
Of course, Superman would never run around bragging on being Superman either.
Superman is fictional, maybe that's what Cam was trying to say all along.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -

I don't think that this is true. I have seen him in several movies and tv showsLegume said:Superman is fictional

Ron, I try to stick to the food threads but Cam is an arrogant sob and not in the league of Peyton Manning. I thought NC would win. Happy for the outcome but also surprised. Post game interview says it all.YukonRon said:

Yeah, pretty much. Peyton and Miller were very thankful and humble. Anybody can say what they want, bottom line, and I don't think too many people had considered this, Special teams for the Broncos played much better than Carolina too, gave up zero return yards on punts, which was huge. Manning did not needed to be great, just effective. Defense and special teams controlled the Carolina Offense. The Carolina offense cost them the game. After the RB Stewart got hurt early, their running game suffered, then losing Brown at WR turned it into a game Cam could not compete. He was a target all night long. He gave away every play with his stance in shotgun. Poorly played by him, put too much pressure on his o line.bgebrent said:

Superman? Not in SB L.
Greg Maddux was called Clark Kent by many in the pros, he did not call himself that. Ken Griffey Jr, HOFer, called him Superman. I think that is how you get the name.
Cam's a great player, but until he gets the ring, he needs to dial it back a little."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

I really miss Barry Sanders. He scored often and then flipped the ball to the ref. No dances. All business.Flint, Michigan

I love football for the the athleticism, the personalities, the rivalries, and the memories it brings back of watching games with Dad. I'm glad Cam is the way he is and I'm glad Peyton is the way he is. It makes the game more interesting. I like that Cam is so confident in himself. And... he does have an amazing body. Didn't notice that till I saw the Beats commercial. Wow.
Both Cam and Peyton make the game more interesting. I enjoy Rex Ryan as well as Bill Belichick too.
Agree this was not a good superbowl game. Higher-scoring, more offense focused, down to the final minute games are more fun.
Cam not going after that fumble was baffling. He just stood there looking at it. Bizarre. -
Perhaps he thought the scrum would wrinkle his cape. Very Supermanesque.Sweet100s said:

Same with new Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison. How fitting that he goes in the HOF the night before Peyton wins his second SB. fukahwee maineyou can lead a fish to water but you can not make him drink it -
yes- we all know superbowl rings define a QB's greatness
i mean just look at jim plunkett... who wouldnt choose him over Dan Marino.. -
If Cam was a thug he would've jumped on his fumble instead of tiptoeing away from the ball... A punk maybe, but definitely not a thug... Brady is more of a thug than Newton.
-
The only scam I saw was in the first quarter when replays clearly showed that Jerricho Cotchery had made a good catch for a 23 yard gain after bobbling the ball a couple of times. Ball never touched the ground. Two plays later Von Miller strip sacks Cam for a touchdown. THERE ARE PICS SO IT MUST HAVE HAPPENED!!!

That fumble and Cam's reaction almost looked like he reacted to the fact that his lineman was lunging for it and he was anticipating for it to come forward. Very weird play and reaction for sure.Phatchris said:If Cam was a thug he would've jumped on his fumble instead of tiptoeing away from the ball... A punk maybe, but definitely not a thug... I thought it was weird that others indicate his ability of a QB. The same dominance was done to Brady two weeks prior. But then those others comments are "well, he's won four Super Bowls and that's okay". No, it isn't okay and that's not a great statement to apply to the scenario. Again, there lye the double standard, read the article above, and he's scrutinized on every little thing.------------------------------

@SGHJust curious why do you hate The Denver Broncos?
Take all the race crap out and bottom line on C. Newton at 26 yrs old he's still immature. Pure and simple immature. Maybe that'll change as he gets older...maybe not. Either way he's talented.LBGE 2013 & MM 2014Die Hard HUSKER & BRONCO FANFlying Low & Slow in "Da Burg" FL -

He's much more than talented. He's driven and committed and has worked his tail off to succeed. But he is immature.

@tarheelmatt, there's a lot of truth in that article. A lot of truth. But it is a little more complex than that.
If you take Peyton's action in the context of his "aw, gee, shucks" persona vs Cam's very similar action in the context of his "I'm the greatest" persona they could both be the same skin color and SOME would interpret the two actions very differently. Because they aren't the same skin color, about 10 times as many will interpret their actions as different. But very few will ever admit that they are in the group that is influenced by skin color.

@Foghorn , I wish I could agree and like your comment. You're right, the article is deeper than face value. My rub is with some of the comments like "thug", "hooligan", "scam", and even "boy". However, lets face it, Peyton doesn't have an empty closet, which I know you know. Some of it is self inflicted, but there are deeper issues than what some shed light on.....
