@NPHuskerFL is it limited to a single pizza or could we have more than one pizza in our entry?
I offer into evidence to establish precedence the case of husker vs ballontine chicken in which case husker made two chickens.  If it pleases the court, I motion to allow multiple pies.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

    Pretty funny.

I only ask because if I enter I will probably do a couple different pizzas while cooking them and hopefully I can get one good enough to enter, but I may get lucky and have them both turn out good.

    @EGGjlmh I don't personally have a problem with that.
In fact if you notice the only restrictions on the pics is a limit of 5 and must be taken with a cell phone that's it. Collages okay which could contain multiple pics of one pie. A gif would be okay as far as I'm concerned. 5 shots...5 pies. Whatever.  Be creative and have fun.  That's what it's about.

Folks, it don't need to taste good, just look good.  You can swap out the DiGiornos right after the picture takin' and before the eatin'.

I think I might just enter this one.

The theme is Pizza. Make your own dough, or store bought, your own sauce or store bought....Type--- Desert, Margherita, Sicilian, Italian, NY, Chicago, Paleo, White, etc. You make it and post it. Your ingredients etc & it must be baked on your BGE is the only stipulation on the actual cook. If you're doing sides cool... list em and egg is preferred but, not necessary. Please follow these simple rules. Make your pizza/pie. Take up to 5 pics (collages are totally allowed)---cel phone pics only please. If you're using somebody else's recipe please give them credit (it's the right thing to do).  The TD will start NOW & end Monday at 2400 EST. VOTING...Will commence immediately afterward and terminate at 2400 EST on Friday 06/12/15.
Be creative and have fun with it. And HuskerMaMa & I will have an appropriate prize for the winner. Be creative and have fun with it. Please comment on this thread only and use the OFFICIAL THREAD only for cooks posts. I hope to see many participants here. Thanks NPHuskerFL Blake.

@MightyQuinn_13, just follow these rules Blake set up and you should be good.  Have you done a couple cooks 400 or under yet?  Pizza is best cooked between 450 and 550 I feel and you want to make sure you egg gasket is good and seeded first.

Thanks for the info.  I've had my LBGE for just about a year and done pizza a few times with a few broken pizza stones to prove that hotter isn't necessarily better...

Are you using the BGE pizza stone?  That thing is hard to break unless you drop it.  Worth the money.  Good luck and have fun.

Mixed up dough last night, divided into balls this morning and chilling in the fridge til Saturday. I'm starting another batch tonight. Hopefully I get a chance to take pics of the best pie. If not, I know how to use google images...

It's coming brother. It may not be worth a flip, but I'm going to post it.  I'm actually attempting something pretty cool. Don't know how it will ultimately taste but if I don't mess it up it should look insane. Did a lot of research and found a old throw back that you don't see much anymore.

Since I didn't specify a pic showing it in the BGE this is on the honor system @Legume
I think we have an honest group so that should be a non issue.

Great, now @cazzy will probably enter if he can stuff enough wood in his vertical to get it up to pizza temp

@Legume My main reason for no specificity of pics was for folks that make multiple pies. Most don't just make 1. It's usually at least 3 or more.

I am not worried about it at all, just having fun.  We're having a bunch of my daughters friends over tomorrow night and just put out a bunch of toppings and let them have at it.  Not sure what will end up being pic worthy, but I'm certainly going to have to fill the XL with lump, I'll be cooking for a while.

Are you asking me about an MM stone? I have no idea. I use a piece of scrap steel... in my oven. I also have a large BGE brand stone that I used in my egg and then my oven. Until I got the steel.

@Carolina Q No the wanting to see a pizza on the thread by you from your LBGE was directed at you.

The»»»» where to purchase a stone for the MM was for anybody in Eggheadland.
