There would be no reason not to talk about it if we had rules other than:

The first rule of Brisket Camp is: You do not talk about Brisket Camp. The second rule of Brisket Camp is: You do not talk about Brisket Camp. Third rule of Brisket Camp: Someone yells stop, goes limp, taps out, the camp is over. Fourth rule: only two guys to an egg.

You should rename this Brisket Club to pay homage...

How about we make soap from all of the brisket trimmings?

    Is clothing optional?

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

I got folks in NOLA! I got free miles, and I knows my way around. This, for me, could either be the most awesome event ever, or a toe tagger. Either way I leave with something I did not have before I got there.

Promotional bump.  Oct. 17th.  New Orleans LA.

It is on.  Has been, will be.

All races, all political parties, all religions, all non-religions....even Primo and Weber people are welcome.

I'll try to get my boat in the Mississippi outside the event so we can ferry people back and forth to the French Quarter outside the Ferry, which is just a few blocks away.

Wanted: Looking for tea-totterers to drive boat.  I will be in no condition.

Addendum: to the above, the Mississippi river shuttle may not be the best idea.  I am thinking outside the box and human safety is of paramount importance.  I am fully confident we can have some unique infrastructure glued on to the local geographical system to facilitate the movement of people around the river/hotels/airport.   However, I'll talk to my friend that has a larger boat and my lawyers about employing said systems to work.

By this, you are inferring, Brisket BBQ participants that will attend this soirée in NOLA, will choose, (responsibly, of course) not to imbibe with an adult beverage or other decision skills imparing substance?

By all that is gracious and good, I must meet this species. Is it / are they human?

    Now you're talking.

My buddy Jack (he was making the delicious margaritas with the fresh fruit at the last brisket fest) was at Bollinger's ship yard, upstream 50 yards from the ferry.   He was talking to some guys working on the hull of a ship and they're right over the water.  Jack asked them why they aren't wearing floatation vests.  They guy looked at Jack and kicked a doughnut shaped life saver tied to a rope into the Mississippi right below him.  Jack said it hit the water then was sucked under by the undertow and current.  The spool of rope started unspooling.  It never popped out of the water.   "That's why" he said.

You can ask him about this, Jack will be there in Oct. Moral of the story is:  don't try to swim in the Mississippi.  At least where we're at and near the shore.

Of course this ends up being a bad weekend for me.  I should be able to make evening activities, though.
