I rarely cook these days and my friend and his wife have been feigning. With the weekend drives to Katy and the work getting the house set-up and completing "makes me happy" projects, I haven't been up to cooking during the week in San Antonio. He wanted pulled pork, so I woke up at 5am and made it happen.

I am not the only one making their own drip pans, right? So easy and they work so well.

I dialed in the egg and tossed it on at 6:30am. The outside plug didn't work, so my plan to use the stoker was out. When I called at 11am to check on the temp, his wifey said it was at 350, so I had her close the bottom vent by half. Had my buddy make a few adjustments in the afternoon, and I pulled it at 6pm. Not my best, but it was pretty good.

You know me, I had to grill some sausage...pork on pork, OH YEAH BABY! :@)
Pulled pork sammy, topped with vinegar slaw, hatch pork sausage and a lil Franklin Barbecue Sweet Vinegar Sauce.

I took some advice from Cen and tried out Oak Ridge Comp Beef and Pork. It was very good...nice balance and a smidge of sweet, which my sweet tooth loved. At the end of the day though, my homebrew pork rub is still my favorite by a long shot. Great eats none the less.
This is one of the projects I finished up last weekend that I'm very geeked up about. :-B

Man I make my own drip pans out of foil for everything except incredibly large quantities of meat. That looks awesome! Nicely done as always @cazzyI raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

Looks like a winner to me. Judging by the size of the sandwich, was you expecting me to drop by?

That sandwich really impressed me. Both the quality and the quantity.

@cazzy nice network setup. Very clean. I just ordered a synology 415+ yesterday. Should be here by the end of the week. Paired with two WD red 3 Tb drives to start.

It's basically my home network and NAS (Network Area Storage). Modem, router, switch and patch panel. The NAS is a Drobo and is essentially 10tb of storage (after redundancy) that anyone has access to on my network.cazzy said:

Oakridge rubs are really good stuff. I've been wanting to try their Crucible rub made with ghost peppers.

I have 8/2 for 35 bucks a month with my own modem. The best I can get is 30/5 for 60. So you are getting a good deal. Who's you isp?2-XLs ,MM,blackstone,Ooni koda 16,R&V works 8.5 gallon fryer, express smoker and 40" smoking cajun

Death Dust rocks on wings. I use it on the bone side of ribs sometimes so it hits the tongue first when you bite.
And I've already got a guy for the lawn but thanks for offering. A techie is what I need! Heck... I'll even let you show me how to smoke a brisky#1 LBGE December 2012 • #2 SBGE February 2013 • #3 Mini May 2013A happy BGE family in Houston, TX. -
