A Sad sad day...

Some of you may remember me as I have no posted much in the past few years. I have attended a few Eggtoberfests and many Eggfests around the country starting in 1999. Well today I posted my eggs for sale. Hopefully this year can bring better days and get back on the saddle. But for now I will miss all that comes from the art of ceramics. Ain't nothing like going through life ass backwords....

  • I hate to hear that things are not going well at the moment. The eggs are insignificant. Spend time with people you care about. It's free and the only thing that really matters when we are at the finish line. That would include people on here. You don't need to be a stranger just becuase you are selling your eggs or going through a tough time.

Well said Tex. We talk a lot about "stuff" here, but in the end it's the people in your life that matter. Hope things turn soon Todd.

Hate to hear about anyone hitting hard times.  Keep plugging away and things will eventually get better.  God Bless.

Sorry to hear of your rough time. Hopefully you'll be back in the saddle soon enough. I'm sure this wasn't an easy decision either. And I agree 100% with @The Cen-Tex Smoker‌ don't be a stranger. Once An Egghead Always An Egghead. ;)

I believe you broke my second egg in for me at a Woodburners Eggfest. Either way I'm sorry things are not going well for you but hopefully you get your problems turned around and we see you back again in the near future.

    Good Luck.

  • Hey man I'm sorry that things have gotten tough for you. Maybe someone could just float you some money and could hold onto your eggs as collateral?

  • Sorry to hear that Todd.  Many of us have gone through it and it's not easy.  But you will live through it and probably come out way ahead after it's over.  It may be a good time to reassess your goals and go full-steam ahead with them.

As for your Eggs, I'm sure they are like family and would be hard to part with.  But sometimes you have to do what you have to do.  Fortunately, they can be replaced when times are better.

Meanwhile, I second the motion to keep in touch on the forum.  I think you will find it to be a welcome relief from the worry of 'when' and 'what kind of job' you will find.

    Good luck with it.

  • Hey Eggheads,

Thanx so much for the kind words and support. I didn't loose my job(Thank God) but holding on to a house that I tried for a few years to hold on to after a divorce just isn;t feasible anymore. It was meant for 2 incomes or at least two jobs, but given my son is still too young to stay home by himself I cant work a 2nd job. The other ditched the country and doesn;t give a dime in child support, and cant no longer ride this housing bubble out much longer. So for now sell what I can and maybe a miracle can happen. But it's all not that bad as there are so many others who have it worse. Just hard to swallow...

  • Todd,
Sorry to hear man. Pretty sure we've met a couple of times. I lost everything I had in a divorce several years ago and can only tell you things get better.

Sorry to hear of your hard times. I know there is nothing no one can say that will help. But nonetheless most of us have been there at one time or another and can sympathize. Don't give up my friend. Just keep on keeping on. Good luck and God bless.
