I picked up two #12 hams, already smoked. I bought the cheap variety because I tried this recipe a couple of weeks ago and a regular cheap ham turned out incredible.I set the egg to indirect at 325 and use lots of hickory. I pull it at 140The glaze is incredible. So I'm cooking that for Easter.I have Good Friday off and I might do a brisket.XL Owner

Thanks. I was going to ask who Mr. dot com was but I think I will leave that one alone. Want to say good luck on your upcoming contest . I hoped to be back on land by then so I could come watch but it's not looking to promising. Again good luck brother.

@egret's Maple Bourbon Ham with a spiral cut. Dinner is at 1 at Mom and Dad's in town, Church at 1030 followed by an Egg hunt on the church lawn for the little ones. Trying to figure out what time to put it on at 250. We have a 15 mile drive into town so I was going to put the ham on early, pull it off before we have to go to church, FTC till dinner at 1. 0230, 0300? I know it is temp not time, but I need a ball park idea. Any suggestions?

Easter Sunday Brunch at the downtown Hilton. Letting somebody else do the cooking this time. I'll probably do a ham later for sandwiches during the week.__________________________________________It's not a science, it's an art. And it's flawed.- Camp Hill, PA

That's hilarious I have a certain member in my family that asked me to make ny famous cookies. I had to tell her that was 20 years ago when I did that and now I'm a law abiding citizen. She called Bull..T and told me laws were invented for people like me."Hold my beer and watch this S##T!"

I'll probably watch a few hours of Cosmos to prepare while SWMBO makes a vegetable dish, then we'll bring it over to her parents house where I'll have to push around overcooked protein (either turkey, ham or lawd forgive, beef) on my plate. Sides are always really good. Just can't convince the sister that does the cooking to use a meat thermometer.

I'm spatching a turkey and a ham from SRF. I'm doing majority of the cooking with my wife recovering from the c section. I'm actually looking forward to it - my wife gets nervous under pressure and I'm chilling!

My first post here. I have been Egging since 2011 and love the lifestyle. I have learned a lot from all of you. Thanks for that. My menu for Easter is: 5 lb Ribeye Roast, Asparagus, Mashed potatoes, Glazed carrots, Corn on the cob, Au jus, Horseradish sauce, and Cheese cake for dessert. Oh. ABT's for an appetizer to hold us over until the main event.Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito.

Thanks Nola. You have inspired many of my cooks. I forgot one main dish above. I'm also making burgundy mushrooms served with French bread for dipping in the juice. It is Pioneer Woman's recipe found here: http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2010/09/burgundy-mushrooms/.Tu ne cede malis, sed contra audentior ito.
