The only time I get an e-mail is when I bookmark the post.
Not to get technical, but according to chemistry alcohol is a solution...

Tried that too. I deleted every single one of my bookmarks in hopes that would stop the email flood. NOPE!bud812 said:The only time I get an e-mail is when I bookmark the post.Packerland, Wisconsin -

Can you flag the emails as spam so they go to your junk folder?
-
Lemme know if you got a email
-
That's what I'm actually doing right now, but my email provider still counts that as email and every couple days they threaten to cut me off (Time Warner) because my account is 90% full.Lit said:Can you flag the emails as spam so they go to your junk folder?Packerland, Wisconsin -
Yup, as soon as you posted I got a notification that you posted. When I started this thread I deleted over 1,000 emails and I'm already back up to 19 in my junk box.Browninggold said:Lemme know if you got a emailPackerland, Wisconsin -
Every thread? Any Moderators around to help @ChokeOnSmoke out? Maybe you will have to make a new account

Yup, every thread, every post. Doesn't matter if I comment on the thread or not!Browninggold said:Every thread? Any Moderators around to help @ChokeOnSmoke out? Maybe you will have to make a new accountPackerland, Wisconsin -

Check - select at least one e mail option, I suggest the last one the private message notify box. See if it goes away then......Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Can you hear me now?

I'm up for anything. Just cleared my junk box and set private messages to on. See what happens....Skiddymarker said:Check - select at least one e mail option, I suggest the last one the private message notify box. See if it goes away then......Packerland, Wisconsin -
Nope. 2 new emails in the last few minutes from 2 threads I've never viewed or posted on.ChokeOnSmoke said:

I had to find the way to stop the email notifications after my inbox was flooded as a result of starting the "Look what mangrates did to the forum" thread :((
- after logging on, look to the right for "Notifications" just above "sign out", click on "Notifications"...
- next look for "Edit Profile" in the same area, click on it...
- now look to the left and find "Notification Preferences", click on it...
- scroll down a bit and you'll see a bunch of check marks under "Email" and "Popup", removed check marks for whatever notifications you're not interested in, click "Save Preferences".
- you're done
hope this helpscanuckland - after logging on, look to the right for "Notifications" just above "sign out", click on "Notifications"...

I only get emails if I was the OP on the thread. If you have a Mac and use Apple Mail, you can set up a rule to automatically delete any message that has, for example, "Support" as the sender.__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

One suggestion- why don't you sign up for a free email account like gmail. Change your email in your egghead forum to the new account, then you can respond from your new account.
You shouldn't have to go through all this trouble and I would keep at them to get it fixed...but perhaps this would be a work around.
Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
Do this. I had to do this for my ski patrol account so I wouldn't miss important emails in the jumble of crap I get everyday.SmokeyPitt said:One suggestion- why don't you sign up for a free email account like gmail. This is great too. You can also set it up to send specific emails to a certain folder using keywords. If you are still having issues, you can do this and just delete the contents of the folder each time, without having to delete each individual email.Village Idiot said:I only get emails if I was the OP on the thread. Don't feel bad. You conducted a valuable service to the community. Finally got the river of emails to stop. Through my main email preferences, I BLOCKED/BLACKLISTED all emails with the domain name "biggreenegg.com". Seems to be working.Ridiculous that nobody "in charge" of this site will respond and fix this problem.Packerland, Wisconsin

Dude, limit on email?! Sounds like Time Warner is a total douch-bag company. Gmail is free but doesn't have any draconian limits like you're paid service does. F them. Get a gmail account - + 10E99 to whoever suggested that.
