Just put 2 pork butts on the egg for my Dad's wake tomorrow. It's been a rough week ,I sure hope these turn out using a different set up than usual. in the past I have used my platesetter, today I am using a spider with a stone so I can put the A/R on later with some ribs. If anybody has some do's but especially don'ts lat me know.

That setup should work great. That is the setup i have used when doing multiple butts. Try to center your butts over the smaller stone on the spider. Also i had to have my vents open a little bit more than i did with the placesetter. I think the stone that close to the coals affects the air flow.
Sorry to hear about your dad.

Been there, done that. After my dad's funeral we walked out on the golf course behind his house to play a couple holes (drinks in hand). Stepped up to the tee on a par 3 and knocked it in the hole. Gotta believe he was watching.
Condolences.
