I thought I was full until I saw this pic. Since no cheesecake, it will have to be boring old ice cream.
Thanks Wil,[p]CWM

Car Wash Mike,
thanks alot Mike
heres the details:
crust is waverly crackers and pecans ( chopped )
40 crackers and 1/2 cup pecans with 1 teaspoon black pepper, mix with 3 tablespoons of butter.[p]cheesecake is :
1 # small shrimp sautee'd with 8 diced mushrooms, 2 tablespoons each of red, green, and yellow bell peppers.
1/2 teaspoon thyme and 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
cool. Whip 3# cream cheese then add 4 whole eggs ( 1 at a time )then fold in shrimp mixture. Pour into crust and cook on BGE for 2 hours at 225 degrees. I added a handful of Jack Daniels chips for smoke.
After its cooked run a knife around the inside edge and PUT IN FREEZE FOR 3 HOURS.Then slice and add to your favorite salad. I used romaine with spiced pecans, drizzled balsamic vinaigrette and a few slithers of leftover peppers for color.

Didn't I see this recipe on Food Network last week? I forget who the chef was.[p]Jim

JSlot,
You may have seen it on Food Network but I certainly wasn't that chef....LOL
Savoury cheesecakes are quite familiar amongst us chefs looking for different salad ideas, but 1 thing for certain, the chef you may had seen surely didn't use the BGE to smoke/cook it (wink)

Maybe one day we'll see you with your own show on TFN![p]Jim

Wil,is that 3lbs. of cream cheese or three packages,do you use a springform pan,and what size pan? Thanks ahead of time,Poppasam
-
popasam,
yes 3# of cream cheese and I use a 12 inch pan because the cheesecake whether its sweet or savoury cooks up more uniform IMO. I don't use springform I use baking pans with removable bottoms.
