My wife got on me about the ingredients in the 'store bought' maridnades so I tried this injection marinade and was very good...[p]1 stick butter
4 tbsp canola oil
1 cup water
1 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp salt
1/8 tsp paprika
2 pinches saffron
2 tbsp lemon juice (fresh squeeze)
1-1/2 tsp turbinado sugar
1/2 tsp thyme
1 tbsp worcestershire sauce
1 pinch ginger
1 tbsp distilled white vinegar[p]simmer ingredients over medium heat to melt butter. After butter is melted, whip with a wisk. Place in a glass jar and refridgerate to cool over night. Inject at rate of 1-1/2 oz per pound of poultry (we used chicken tonight)then lite the egg.[p]Cooked at 375 till internal was 180. MMM good! Coated outside of bird with same marinade for coloring of skin.[p]Enjoy!
