Finishing up a 7 hour print my 11 year old started. This is probably the best print quality so far.

I'm going to guess that Arsenal will find their focus for this derby match where their leading position is threatened.  I'm not betting on them to be at the top when the final whistle of the season blows, but for some reason I don't think this is the weekend people will point to as "the weekend they lost it".

Enjoying a dominant win from the boys. Sunday is going to be tough. Congrats to Canada on pulling it out at the last minute today, I do not wish them the same for Sunday.

I took 16 bee stings to the forearm today, looking like Popeye!

    Happy birthday!

If you do end up cooking some, we fully expect a standalone thread!!

I’m sure I have eaten them before but not intentionally. Unfortunately I use borax to soak up the juices so a stand alone thread is highly unlikely.

We had a nice day 62 degrees, and they get to work anytime it’s warm out, spring cleaning, hauling out the sisters who died over the winter. I store the honey supers on the hives in the winter for a number of reasons but I have to take them back off early in the year or the queen will move up into them and start laying eggs. Consequently the supers had a lot of bees getting them all cleaned up and ready for the queen to lay in, forcing me to drive them down into the brood boxes.

  • So far I am pretty stoked, I have a 7% loss rate which is pretty damn impressive considering the cold snap we had.

Today is my birthday! I’m celebrating by teaching one of my friends how to taxidermy rodents. She is very excited. When I bought these yesterday at Petsmart the lady asked me what kind of snakes I have… when I said I didn’t have any snakes she stopped chatting and making eye contact. Perhaps she thought I was planning on eating them 😆
Neither teaching a friend to taxidermy for your birthday or having funny conversations with PetSmart employees raises an eyebrow for me - but the large rats being in a smaller box than the small rats raises a lot of questions for me.

I would rather light a candle than curse your darkness.

@GrateEggspectations you do have a good eye for the details. @Ozzie_Isaac small rats vs large mice.

I think for the Canadians, it’s been more about being the best and getting everyone’s top game. I’m excited for tomorrow morning. It’s unfortunate that it is on so early.

That women’s finish was unbelievable! The most dominant team in the tournament.

I just saw that. Fortunately, you boys will be able to get your Molson and Timmy Horton’s early.

I normally get up at 4, so an extra hour of sleep will be just fine. It’s a shame that the rest of the world doesn’t believe that the world revolves around us and schedule this game at a convenient time.

@BeanHead - congratulations on the successful completion of another lap of the sun.  If I recall, last year you cooked up a great celebratory banquet.  Enjoy being the professor again.

Waiting to hear if my sisters can get my Dad to go to the hospital. His oxygen level is 81% , heart beat is on the low side of normal. When they put him on Mom’s oxygen machine it brought it up to 95% but there’s only one in the house.

Atrial fibulation and shortness of breath. Admittedly to the hospital. Apparently an a fib that his pacemaker couldn’t handle. That’s the info as of 5 minutes ago.
  • @Gulfcoastguy

Sorry to hear you’re dealing with that. Wishing your father the best of outcomes.
