Lawyers, spending lots of money with lawyers - 3 in same room today, depending on how things go will do it again with 4 next week.  I just basically watch 2 XL BGEs fully kitted go out the window every hour.
I am but an outsider. But I see your recent posts and the life you are relishing now appears as though it may be worth the hefty price tag. Hang in there, brother.
Thank you!  I wouldn’t change my life now for anything.  I had no clue how good life could be - if I wasn’t fighting to ensure my kids have something at the end or our lives I would have just thrown my hands up and walked away - but if I do that there will be nothing left for them to inherit.  They keep me fighting.

I get the sentiments and not taking sides here but the reality is that your other half quite likely feels the same way regarding your kids.  Independent of that, time is on their side as well as for yours.

You may want to look at mediation to stop the attorney fees.  All depends on your ultimate goals for declaring victory.  After all, once you devolve to the here and now it becomes a war of attrition.
Just an opinion and we all know what those are worth.

Wish I held your faith my friend, mediation is on the table, that is why 4 lawyers next week - unfortunately the last offer (verbally hashed out over half a day) took 59 days for a response - the response was, let’s just say, interesting.

Ah, but the true treasure in these opulent divorces is often not the yacht or the gilded mansion, but the bitter, glittering, and deeply personal prize! I recall a tale, an absolute scandal—the former Mrs. demanding a filthy, fifty-year-old shovel—yes, a shovel!—from the back of her husband's utterly antiquated, rust-encrusted Ford pickup, a veritable eyesore! The court, in its infinite lack of style, deemed her unworthy of this grimy heirloom. And the aftermath? Twenty years hence, darling, and the echoes of that denial can still be heard in the violent, thunderous slamming of cabinet doors! For some, the taste of victory is never as sweet as the venom of righteous indignation! This, my friends, is why a truly happy ending... is never guaranteed!

ah - redefining "objective" reminds me of Douglas Adams

"The lawyers experimented vainly with various ways of redefining murder, reevaluating it, and in the end even respelling it in the hope that no one would notice."
