App freezes, no response

This is so frustrating on a Thanksgiving morning trying to cook my turkey on the Egg. Why in the blue blazes do i need an ID? Why do I need to login. Why do I need a password? Why can't the thing work on my Apple iPhone? After forcing the app to quit and retrying several times, I saw an option that says 'cook local'. But It freezes up. Just complaining big time. I just want to measure the darn temps, not create a database of meats and temps. Just give me an app with the two temps.

Welcome aboard to the frustration train. You and maybe a million other folks tried unsuccessfully today to connect their device either to the cloud, or locally, neither of which worked for me. I tried again this evening to reconnect, even though I wasn't cooking. No such luck. I can only imagine how busy their phones are going to be tomorrow (11/29/24). I want to do some more cooking this weekend, and would REALLY like to be able to use my $300 device. It's too light-weight to even be good for a boat anchor. Harrumph.
